Thunderbird Club

It would be interesting to compare the two. The MB150/112 can get extremely loud and it runs at 100W without an extension cab. In smaller rooms, it's fine for a gig.

That would be interesting (and fun) to do. 100W isn't loud compared to a loud band, but in general, 100W of bass through a decent cab/speaker is loud.

My first good amp when I was a kid was a blackface Fender Dual Showman and you could not put anything on top of those old Fenders like drinks, beers etc as they would vibrate right off but I never learned.
I learned a roll of duct tape is your friend and makes for a great cup holder.

Got to use the NR with SIT Power Wounds at a quick rehearsal tonight. They sound really good and feel great. As good as any string I've tried on that bass. Really nice pick sound, but playing with fingers didn't turn into mud. Big, full and decent punch, with some nice highs with pleasant bite. I liked them so much I may leave them on and use them again Sunday before putting them on the Jazz for a better comparison to the David E. set. Then again, I'm anxious to try the Foundations as well....

You’re describing my new favorite strings.
Labella, Extra light Deep Talkin Flats.

I also like LaBella "Deep Talkin' Flats" but in a heavier gauge. Those and GHS's Precision Flats. :bassist: In fact, I took my Supersonic w/GHS flats to our BG rehearsal last night and it sounded GREAT! I started out w/flats on my BG bass ('66 J) and switched to D'Addario rounds at one point for more definition. But hearing this bass with flats in the mix reminded me of why I started with that combo.

Great thing about flats is they are good-to-go forever! The ones on my Supersonic are 10yrs old! :bassist:

Good info on the SIT Power Wounds for the 22NR. The GHS Precision Flats were atrocious on that bass, not a good match at all. Looking forward to your finger playing experience on the 22NR with David E. strings vs the SIT PWs.

TB was dial up slow late last night and is draggy at times tonight. Just me?
No issues here.
