Thunderbird Club

In 73-74, a couple of guys in the dorm would drive a Vette from Atlanta to somewhere just across the Mississippi River, fill every possible space with Coors, and drive back. Whoever was driving on the way home was really cramped. They did it in the quickest round trip they could get away with. To the best of my knowledge, they never got ticketed. They'd keep some of the beer, but sell most of it, at a pretty price to break even on their run.

I had it a few times back then, I could never understand what the fuss was all about. I think it was smart marketing.

palatable if ice cold…..
Even not, I find it one of the best light lagers. I usually drink double IPAs, but for playing music, I have to keep it light. Maybe it loses something in transportation to the west coast? Or if you haven't had it in a long time, I think the employees bought the brewery and now run it, so maybe it's improved. @Count Bassie is local. He probably knows more details.

Never been a fan, ever. And their light beer is even worse. We have a guy that hangs out with some of our friends that would drink a 12 or 18 pack of Coors light during a typical party, and people would marvel how he never seemed drunk. Of course he wasn't drunk!! That is like drinking the equivalent of 2 weak beers. Get back to me when he drinks several 12% plus barrel aged stouts and he isn't drunk. That would be an accomplishment. (And no, I am not impressed with peoples alcohol tolerance levels)

Sounds like the Bates brothers I play hockey with. They hit Costco for a 36 pack of Coors light for post game hydration. They build some interesting silver bullet pyramids.

It was forbidden, therefore it was desirable. Although, come to think of it, when I was a kid in El Paso, Dad drank it (when he drank, which wasn't that often).

I've got a question: for the Epiphone T-Bird IV would any T-Bird pickguard work? I really don't like the white one that it comes with, I'm thinking about changing it.

Other guards might fit, but you really want one specific to that model Bird. You can find them on eBay, Reverb, and Etsy for usually reasonable prices.
