Thunderbird Club

If what you mean by “didn’t” do is your band avoided playing 8 of the songs if requested then I’d guess the eight songs were…
Delta Dawn - Reddy
I Write the Songs - Mannilow
Stayin Alive - BeeGees
Copacabana - Mannilow
I Am Woman - Reddy
Master Jack - Four Jacks and a Jill
Kung Fu Fighting - Douglas
Muskrat Love - Captain & Tinnille

Ironic - Morisette (This one wasn’t around in the 75-80 time frame so it’s disqualified).

Am I close?

I like Master Jack. Stayin alive isn't bad either.

Interesting about the noisy pickups. Not sure how many years that went on, but I have noticed in the past my '06 would have some noise at church if both pickups were fully on. Turn one off and the hiss/buzz would go away. The first few times it happened I was shocked as I never experienced humbuckers make any noise together or separate. It wasn't real loud, but at times I would need to turn a pickup off if nothing was going on. Haven't played it there in a while so I don't know if it was just a thing at that time or what.

I had an early 2000's Reverse and the pickups were so noisy I bought a noise gate for it.

Thanks! I have 2. The Simmons has a large rounded profile and the 2000 has a slim taper (my favorite). Could you please share which profile the Epiphone VP comes closest to?

The VP will be a bit bigger than your 2000 Reverse, not so much that you wouldn't like though.

In the meantime, I am gassing for another Tbird to feel more comfortable taking out and about. How do you guys here like the Epiphone Vintage Pro model from about 5 years ago?

I’m a big fan..I play these out often.
Find one in the 550 range and grab it.
I’m looking for one more to paint in Lake Placid Blue

Man, Gibson’s Candy apple blue with gold hardware is my favorite combo ever. I had a Custom Shop ES 345 ordered that way but they got some of my other requests wrong so I didn’t keep it.

I used to do "I know a Little" years ago, that song was fun. 'Gimme Three Steps' too, Van Zandt was a great lyricist.
both banging tracks…..love Ed King’s bass line on ‘Gimme’…..such a guitarist playing bass approach but works sooo well on that….interesting ‘cut through the mix’ tone too…
