It's kinda funny that many-even recent-Southern/country songs talk about "leavin' on a train". There are only 2 these days: "Crescent"-DC to New Orleans thru Atlanta, and "City of New Orleans"-Chicago to NOLA. There used to be a ship(sp?) load-pre Amtrak.
That song can give me the chills. The leads and music are perfect. The best version is from the live album. As a side note: Billy Powell (piano) may be one of the most underrated musicians. I've listened to no telling how many versions of various leads he played and they are all the same. Exactly the same. At least I never recall a difference. Note for note. He was a machine. Hardly something that could be said of any rock musician in the 70s. (He used to be a roadie and one day they heard him playing. I think what he would do on Freebird before it had keys in it. Again, the live album version is killer and not the organ sound from the first album.)
I think strats can sound great--but it takes more work or knowledge. They can naturally sound thin and harsh.

last I played in that area was about 15 years ago at Rusty’s in Middletown and at The Newport Jazz and Blues Club (opening for J. Geils) with Lisa Firda (Markovich) and her band Beyond Blonde….Rusty’s is a good old dive bar with a great kitchen….

That bar, crap, we played a lot of shows there! It was/is still not well ventilated and we would sweat profusely, by the third set we'd be dead exhausted - and I wouldn't trade the memories of of it for anything!

I see they done run over to Epi and got themselves the right bridge. 
At first I thought it was having to do with string length, but that doesn't really explain it.
But I like it! Think I would prefer the gloss black finish though.
