I’m into going long distances, but that’s a bit much.
That's 49+years of working, much of it 6 nights a week in fairly tight confines.

I really love my CP... Best player of my small clutch. I'm told it doesn't have the teeth of the VP, but it's definitely got an aggressive leaning.

LOL - love the hard hitting drums and driving beat, real head banging tune (not!). Never disliked that song but hearing it once about every 10 years or so is adequate for me.
As a bass player it’s probably more like high hat, mic stand and wall magnet.
They all work good, some better than others. My standard is Schaller (old style, not the newer ones with the goofy screw assembly). Dunlop has a sweet flush mount system, but it’s a big hole to drill into a bass.
If you’re on a budget you can’t beat the low cost and highly effective Grolsch beer bottle washer. $13 for a pack of 100 at Amazon…

Epiphone thunderbird made in Japan pre 2000 with pups in cans (original or after market?) and a set neck or neck through with front jack. Not a Greco (no claw) an Orville maybe? Or did Eppi actually have something like a blend of the CP and VP back then??? Interesting.

I’m thinking it might be an Orville. The hardware and construction matches that and Orville was licensed by Gibson in Japan at that time to build Tbirds. Just never seen one called out as an Epiphone before, usually listed as Gibson or Orville. The pickup spacing looks to be correct for the Greco and Orville very close to vintage bird spacing. If it’s an Orville is a little cheaper than most. They usually run a bit over $1000.

From memory there was an Epiphone branded Japanese Thunderbird at one time. Maybe it was Epiphone Elitist?
I noticed that neck pickup too, it looks further to middle than the modern spec.

I think this Epi model was pre-Elitist models. There was a black version for sale on Ebay recently. You don't see these a lot, but they turn up here and there.
Actually most of the damage is from a key guard on the baritone sax I stood right behind on a 5 year, 6 night a week gig.
