Roto 77s have nice mids to them and are a little brighter than traditional flats, are stiff and low volume. Nice sounding string. Not always as smooth as other flats. What about the differences between Rotos 77 flats, ghs, and other flatwound strings?
GHS Flats are more old school thump. Good balance across the freqs. Really smooth. Can be stiff if you get larger sets. These and LaBella are some of the most traditional sounding flats around.
