I’m about 3 weeks from 61. I can’t see myself going past another 18 months from here, less than that ? Yes, that is more likely than longer but who knows? Stuff can change.

Alnico, which is in part why they sound pretty doggone good. I believe I read this someplace, but the Epi Probucker's for guitar are Alnico. I assume the same is true of the bass pickups.

Chuck and I are having similar weather. Currently 33.5C or a hair over 92F. No pool but the air con is on for the first time in ages.No kidding. According to the phone it's 1 degree with nonstop wind here and Chuck has the nerve to take a bath outside.
I don't think I ever said I'd love to see 12 degrees before.
By the way, I put the Power Wounds on the Jazz that had the David Es, and I couldn't tell any difference at practice. If they are not the same string, it must be they use different brass for the ball ends.

I feel bad for the people dealing with the extreme cold this weekend, I really do. This is what we have in store for Christmas weekend. I do wish we had more "wintery" weather, but not that snow nonsense.

I've noticed that several of her basses, when she's playing while sitting, look that way.
But that sort of awkward/too big appearance goes away when she's playing while standing.
Maybe the Mayones is the same way?
Two things I noticed that were interesting: based on the pole positions in the pickups, it appears to be a double P configuration; the fret dots, in addition to having her name at the 12th, switch sides.
Low-end dots on the low side, high-end dots on the high side, instead of all just straight up the center.
