Thunderbird Club

Thanks. Good insights about the T-Bird sound.
It would be nice to compare T-Birds neck pickup to a '51 style P-bass (or '68 Telecaster). Especially if the T-Bird pickup had a coilsplit and one could use the coil closer to the neck (that would make them be approx in the same location).

The riff was Jan Hammer's, BTW. Sister Andrea.
That would be an interesting test. I do have a Fender 1968 paisley reissue telecaster bass with the single coil pickup located 10-7/16” from the 12th fret. I also have a 2015 Gibson Tbird with the split coil option. When in single coil mode the north (neck) coil of the neck pickup is activated but unfortunately that coil is only 9-7/8” from the 12th fret. The south (bridge) coil of the neck pickup would be almost an exact match to the Tele location.

Two of which are lying through their headstocks’ teeth!

…not really lying… trc out on repaired headstock(Epi) or lost (Bach)…o_O

Don't remember if I posted this here yet or not. If I have you get to see it again. My Christmas/birthday (bday isn't till Feb so I use the extra time to justify spending more money on it) present to myself: Darkglass Microtubes 500v2. The duck I already had and he goes to shows with us.

For you baklava lovers, here is something you won’t see but is equally as good.

Grape molasses and tahini used as a dip for pita. The ingredients were smuggled into the US from Hebron. Glad to have Palestinian dessert smugglers in the family. If you get a chance to try it, it’s called dibs. It would be dips but there is no P in Arabic.

How do you like the new head so far?

@rolorocknerd Here is a good deal on a 2013 Gibson at Guitar Center: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

They have a great return policy if you don't like it. IF you go for it, ask if it includes the case. It should.
Nice find! My 2013 is perfect. And the good thing about GC is you can have it shipped to your local one to check out, no commitment.
