Squirrells, Raccoons or opossums? I hope not bears or mountain lions...I'm a bit old-fashionned, I'm afraid.... I'm trying to keep up and Lord knows my kids are helpful, but stuff like Boss, Chief, Captain... I can't help being turned off. On the other hand, Man, Dude, Bro, I'm OK.
The ultimate thrill is when I'm approached by someone going Hi, welcome to our store, I'm Andrea, how can I help you ? Wether I'm purchasing or not, I'll most likely congratulate or thank the person on the way he/she approached me. Last person I did that to replied something like my mum always said the proper way to get to know someone is to introduce yourself, so I do that. That's not the way they coach us here, but I do it anyway. She could not have been more than 25.
Now I'll go and find someone to scream at to get off my lawn...
I love Hondo Felder's reviews, and he did one with this pedal. I really like his Serek Lincoln bass he uses as well. Reminiscent of the Ripper.
Some of you have me curious about a touch of breakup (not fuzz). I really like the sound of the EBS Valve Drive as it's very natural sounding. Found a used one for around $250. But I've got almost $100 at Sweetwater from selling a phaser I didn't need that I'd like to get rid of.
Among a few reasonably priced pedals, this on the overdrive setting doesn't seem too bad. I guess I'm thinking of warm and creamy not raspy or harsh in any way. In fact, I don't think I really want it very noticeable. There and filling in some spaces, but definitely not in your face.

I think it might be largely a SoCal thing, and I hate it too.Or Boss. That’s become the annoying in greeting in stores around here.
I haven't crossed the border since '81. Coming into Canada at Windsor, the Customs lady was professional but nice; coming back into the States at Buffalo, the Customs guy was an a-hole.
Exact same experience at the Niagara crossing. That was exactly my experience last time we crossed at Niagara Falls maybe four years ago. Point: Canada.

I’ll see when I get the neck installed, but the Artec mudbucker has wider spacing than the Gibson, so they might work.String spacing...? Bar pu's or non-exposed pole pu's would be best. Wilkinson makes a good/affordable bucker w/& w/o poles.

One Artec and one 60’s Gibson mudbucker.Mudbuckers from the EB-0 and the one with two pickups?

I’ll also give the stock pickups a chance first.
He's got shoes on, not flip flops, is this the prophecy to the apocalypse?![]()
Didn't even rate, "Can I help you Pops? Wanta get something for your grandson?"

Sorry to ask as I'm sure this has been asked a lot before but I can't quickly find it:
What case is there that fits the oversized Epiphone Tbird Vintage Pro IV? It measures 51" and the interior length of the Epi and gibson cases don't exceed 50.5"
Thanks!
thd is thd regardless of what medium it travels through…. six of one, half a dozen of the other imho….Good reviews indeed. Relaxed and not too hyperactive. One thing bothers me a bit 'though in this one. He mentions the signal path and it seems it goes from DI to the recording system. I don't know if anyone wants to use a distortion straight to the board on a bass or a guitar. True, there's no coloring from a speaker (or speaker sim) but I haven't heard of an an overdrive which sounds better without an amp and a speaker. Unless of course that kind of sound is wanted.
