I bought one from fellow member @LarryV and yes the pickups are small guitar ones that I ultimately replaced with Thunderbuckers.

Speaking of Thunderbucker Ranch, does anyone know if Steve Soar retired? His site has been down. Thanks!
Yes he shut down the business. Not enough demand.

If you install a tug bar and a thumb rest..would they cancel each other out?
If you install both and use both at the same time it does in fact act as a kill switch, makes your bass go dead silent. But only because your thumb is on the thumb rest and your fingers are on the tug bar, therefore nothing is hitting the strings. It’s a very effective kill switch and doesn’t require any soldering skills to install.

Your balls are twisted :wideyed:
…and backwards! That’s gotta hurt!

+2…

Oh yeah!
Have you played one?

Nope. I wish. Just showing my age. When I worked in a music store in Oregon, around 1979, we had an MPC Electra guitar with the modules. It was more Les Paul shaped - but still too gimmicky for the masses. I was tempted - but held off. Bought my used bass rig instead, and haven't regretted it.
