It’s pretty easy to catch someone in a very unflattering pose with a still shot of an action scene. That said, this is a pretty unflattering pose, and then some.NO no - if anything I did (based on my addendum) - I get that he was totally into it and his audience including you 'got' that. Where would we be without a "bass face"?(not quite a smile... but delivers the appropriate emotion!) I was just making the point of the contrary.

Oh great! As if worrying about self ejecting headstocks and fly away bridge components isn’t bad enough, now we have to worry about pickups that fall out of the body for no reason! Geez, these birds sure are trash!Greco bits...........The naked truth.

Thunderbirds suffer from premature ejection. You read it here first.Oh great! As if worrying about self ejecting headstocks and fly away bridge components isn’t bad enough, now we have to worry about pickups that fall out of the body for no reason! Geez, these birds sure are trash!
Yep, had to go with Rosser when my preferred luthier decided to stop making bird bodies. Is that a Rosser body? Pickups?
I think a single Pickup non Reverse with a lefty neck would be fun.
Nice! Then you'll want to EQ your amp with Low and High at 0 and Mid at 11.Yep, had to go with Rosser when my preferred luthier decided to stop making bird bodies.
The goal with this bird is to make an exact opposite but complementary NR to my newly acquired 21NR. The 21 is a “Smooth and Groove” voiced bass, I love how it fits in with a lot of the stuff I do. However, there are times I want a snarling aggressive beast, that will hopefully be this one. To get there I’ve relocated both pups much closer to the bridge (3/4” closer than the 21NR on the neck pup and about 1/4” closer on the bridge pup), I’m using VP pickups, a Wenge/Wenge neck, dedicated .022 tone caps for each pup, and will string it with Lemmy Stainless Round Dunlops. The goal is “Punch and Crunch” on this one.
I’ll try it at my current amp set points, I try not to change them much if any between basses. And because I’m not playing out with this amp I don’t need to worry about EQ for different room dynamics. Here’s the current set points…Nice! Isn’t there a cream for that?Thunderbirds suffer from premature ejection. You read it here first.

Hat’s on straightI need to address that G... so I wanted a pic of a 'bass face' and googled that. The page came up and the majority of images were of her, and all different. There were men bass players with bass-faces, but hers was the most exaggerated - so I just chose that one. Later, I read an article about her (I didn't know who she was) and her sister trio band. Apparently she is pretty offended that so many of her 'bass faces' ended up as memes and images - to the point of considering it 'sexist'. Yipes! I empathize with her take and realize how it got blown out of control, but there are many famous bass players caught in a pic making a pretty outrageous bass-face. If she didn't care about her 'bass face' - I would just chalk hers up to very exaggerated. But since she has taken offense at those posting these BF pics of her - I apologize.
When one sez' a bass-player is making an "ugly" 'bass-face' - it's not an insult. As an aside, I think if you showed any of these pics to the bass-players.., (other than TB who is rockin' with Jeff in heaven) they would just laugh.

slight boost at 40, 180 and 550hz, complete cut at 4000hz. Little bump on the overall bass end and a little cut in the overall treble end. That pretty much stays put. I usually get what I need out of the on board EQ on each bass from there. Hopefully this build will be the same.

solid mahoganyWhat type of wood is the body?
Fantastic amps. Basically a built in HPF/LPF and a one magic knob (timbre knob) adjustment for room dynamics.Love those amps.
What are the TRCs on those? They are not stock, but they sure look good.
