If you ever see a great deal on SIT Power Wounds (or David Es) give them a try. Might be worth a $16 experiment. In fact, throw some in your Reverb cart and see if you don't get offered a good deal at some point.I have no issues with the feel of EBCFs or my fingers. They just aren’t for me. Stainless rounds, SIT Power Steels or Dunlop Marcus Miller stainless steel Superbrights are my choice for my Thunderbirds. YMMV.
I hate to mention it, but there are pic circulating online. Way to incorporate the sustain and mute peals to assist.Four on the floor was my then girlfriend and me, under a piano at a party with another coupe we were ignoring. Good thing there was no video back then.
I was just thinking that I heard/read that somewhere."Sympathy" is Keith on bass. In the video from recording/writing session he plays a P-bass on it.
Knew I could count on you!Just buy another Thunderbird. Problem solved.
1. Bored with life. What's the point of that?
I keep a few of them around, last count was...4, plus a home made one and a 1200s 6x12 in need of a restoration. I love the damn things, if only they were easier to move! The Rick is one of my Grecos, it's Mapleglo, but the stage lights do make it look red! That one's getting a Lollar T-bird pickup in the neck as soon as I get the new pickguard in from Pickguardian.

Still the golden standard for cabinets for me, which makes it hard to find others I find up to snuff! Currently on the lookout for some of the old Fender Bassman VT cabs (Bassman 50/70 diagonal 2x15) to put some JBLs in for a more portable rig.
Yes, there's not much. I love it.Don't see much of that pedal over in the Effects Forum, looks pretty interesting !
Yes, there's not much. I love it.
Genzler 4 on the Floor
And get Irv to create a NRR PG?At this point, he ought to just rip it and its volume pot out, fill the holes and refinish the top to make a rare VP II.
We had to cut his hair short a few months because of his health issues. It’s at about 70% of it’s length - probably needs to be cut.He looks adorable.
I’ll do a recording of my J with the Chinabucker and then a Bart in the same position.*adding Barts to my list of pickup replacement candidates*
He went from terrorizing the dogs to hardly moving/not eating overnight. We weren’t sure if he was coming back. Still good this morningGreat news!

Speaking of which, do you know if they’re a drop in replacement for the standard Epi IV?
Yup.Beat me to it. I’m trying to catch up. Finally made it into Thursday posts. Does anyone else around here have to work?
I have yet to find a perfect fit drop in replacement for the Eppi IV Tbird (non VP, non CP) pickup. Everything I’ve seen regardless of brand is either quite a bit shorter in length (leaving sizable gaps) or a hair wider (requiring shaving or minor routing of the existing route). The only virtual drop in pup I’ve found is the Alumatone for five string bass, and even it might require some light sanding of the existing route to fit. From a fit standpoint the Second best option is the VP/Chinabucker type pickup, which will drop in without routing but will require a trim ring to hide the gap on each end of the existing route.Speaking of which, do you know if they’re a drop in replacement for the standard Epi IV?
This.
Speaker - 15" Subway Neo 400 - 400 watt - 8 ohm
Here’s the cab info. These are probably the best selling cabs in the industry right now. They have a hard time keeping up with the demand for them.

I sympathize with you. We are at the latter stages with our lab Grady as well and every week we wonder if this will be the week. But the old boy keeps on going somehow, but you can see every couple of week he goes down a little more and you know that can't keep going. I can't see him making it into Spring. Yet I never thought he would still be around at this point. He's not in pain as far as we can tell and still enjoys some things, as much as a 14 yr old big dog can, but most days have some extra work involved. We're just glad when we close the day, we've had another one with him.We had to cut his hair short a few months because of his health issues. It’s at about 70% of it’s length - probably needs to be cut.
He had a relapse this week, but it looks like the meds worked. We’re at the stage of enjoying the time we have with him while we can.
I think the DAM Ezekiel tends to be more aggressive (or has more aggressive settings), whereas the 4OTF is intended to not be that aggressive and more for people like me who just want the sound and breakup of an tube amp pushed a bit. But it will definitely do distortion if wanted. I'm impressed that the Genzler sounds so natural and doesn't destroy my original tone. They compared it to a DAM Ezekiel. Hmmm, I used to own a copy of that, I think I ask it for a loan from a friend I sold it to.
So glad to hear that!He went from terrorizing the dogs to hardly moving/not eating overnight. We weren’t sure if he was coming back. Still good this morning![]()
