Thunderbird Club

I’m up for that, given plenty of notice. Seattle isn’t that big of a drive. If I don’t bring any basses, I can fly up gratis, courtesy of JetBlue. I want to see your trains.

You and Frank are welcome here anytime. The mountain house a great place. Take the Frazier Park exit near the top of the grapevine off I5, head west 19 miles and you’re here. The basement music room will be coming together as soon as the carpet and other repairs are done which should be by the end of April. There is an SVT VR with 610 Berg cab, and the Mesa TT 800 with the Subway 410 will be coming up when the work is completed. No neighbors.
Sounds like you’re recreating Caribou Ranch!:D

That’s the “Grapevine” I’m aware of. You mentioned Seattle being not that big of a drive. To me So Cal to Seattle isn’t a drive I’d want to do.

Funny, in my younger days, I’d make a last minute decision and hop on the road from SF to LA on a whim any given Friday night.

We did Seattle to Santa Cruz in 15 hours, Santa Cruz to Seattle in 12 1/2 hours......
The speed limit *may* have been rather loosely interpreted at some points.

I use the Music Nomad Fring polish and have the kit. You can by tubes of the polish separately. Works well, won’t mess with pickups like steel wool can and won’t harm the fretboard. I tape the board off anyway before using and use the supplied fret thingies (three in the kit; I don’t know what they’re called). It takes a bit of time, but is kind of a therapeutic exercise. Excellent results.
Can attest that this is also good stuff.

So I may just get the Genzler Four On the Floor since it includes both. Once the discretionary Bass fund gets replenished that is.
I can't say you would get the same deal, but after putting several in the cart at Reverb I got an offer for a total $216 after tax and free shipping, which was about what some used ones were going for. I think I saw where some were listed here in the past for $150.

They also make a nice looking preamp pedal that has those as well. I don't thing you would need a pre for anything, but who knows, might be a nice tone toy.

If your Bach is the same generation as mine was, I received mine around May/June 2009. It was right when my daughter was graduating High School. My Bach was the thin-bodied version. The neck was fantastic on that bass!!

George was pretty sure it’s a second generation of three? I need to research. Nice thin body, belly cut and simply scrumptious neck. I’m kicking myself for not getting one sooner. But good things come to those who are patient. Seriously gang, jump on the bandwagon.

Did 350 +/- 5 nights a week for ~23 years. Still love to drive.

Wow - I'm nostalgic of the concept of cross-country driving but reluctant of the reality. Maybe it's because I'm a bicycle rider and motorcycle pilot - that's where rubber meets the road for me as far a moving through space on pave.

Well it’s all relative. I’ve driven to Seattle before. It’s a long drive, but it really only takes a day. A very long day. With an early start. And late arrival.
