Thanks.

B500k, so, linear taper
Shaft thickness measures 5/16” with calipers
Length measured ~45/64”
Split shaft
Threads look fine, not coarse
Pot diameter ~1”

Interesting choice on the volume pot taper. Yours is absolutely linear (B) not audio (A). I would have assumed audio, that’s what just about everyone in the world uses for volume pots. I pulled mine out to check, and sure enough it’s a B pot also.

So your replacement will need to be a 500K linear taper (type B) full size pot with a 3/8” long threaded collar and 3/8” dia shaft, no center detent and a metric 18 spline split shaft.

The title says linear, the photo shows linear but the write up in the description says audio taper. So not really sure what you’re gonna get from that seller. Everything else looks correct.
The full description says linear several places but has audio in a section title. I assume a typo but I did ask for confirmation.

New amp day for me. Picked up a Mesa buster! 200. Was kinda keeping my eye out for one for the last year or so. Found it local. Got it for a good price.

A guy I know has one, I went to one of his shows a while back and him and another bass player both used his and they both sounded excellent. Made me want to give one a try.

The mega stack is growing taller.

Gut shots. Looks untouched. I blew it out and cleaned jacks and pots. A few pots were crackling, all quiet now.

That GK sure brings back some memories for me, was my first "good" amp, not counting the Ampeg V4B that always sounded like a rocket taking off at the most inappropriate times

That is quite a stack you have there!! How do you like the Buster? I have heard they sound good but not really gritty. Curious to hear your take on the sound.

That is pretty damn bad a$$!

Boston rents are even ridiculous now, Worcester/Millbury Mass where I used to live is much higher now than when I last lived there too. We rent a large three bedroom condo out here for 500 bucks a month.
Sydney rents, and property prices in general, are ridiculous.
Never sell a property in Sydney to move elsewhere (a tree change for example) if you have any thought that you may want to move back someday. You most likely won’t be able to.
