Thunderbird Club

That will be a concentric pot for master volume, and the pull function will be a coil tap. Nothing is wired yet, so that may actually go in the neck hole and shift the VTs towards the bridge.
That's going to be a really outrageous bass guitar. Are you going to refinish the body as long as you have it all apart?

I've always heard of using mayonnaise for removing stickers on bumpers, but I've never tried it. Wouldn't think they would be anything in it they would harm the finish of an instrument. Just a thought, and likely a bad one.

Olive oil or WD-40 also removes sticker residue.

I've got something along those lines.

One of my all time favorite muscle cars, probably my favorite Pontiac. I also like its sibling Z28 with the split bumper.

Body - check
Neck - check
Bridge - check
PUPs EB2015 Tbird - check
3 concentric pots (2 VT, 1 master tone/DPDT coil tap) - check
Knobs - check
Needed: black Gotoh Res-O-Lights, black output jack
Getting there!

Looks like it’s all starting to come together.

Does anyone have the Probucker 760 sizes?
I talked to Seymour Duncan and their "original" Tbird pickups are 3.36" x 1.575" x 0.50". Just want to make sure that a VP can take it without too much hassle.

The ProBucker 760 dimensions are…
3.625” x 1.60” x 0.45”
Keep in mind, these are stamped sheet metal housings with a very slight taper from top to bottom and a very slight lip flare near the bottom. As such, you’ll probably never get three decimal places of measurement consistency from unit to unit, much less from brand to brand.
…But…
I suspect your question really is - will the SD pickup fit in the VP body route? If that’s the question then the dimensions you’ll need to be concerned with are the pickup body routes. Those dimensions are…
3.75” x 1.66” x 0.75”

So, yes the SD pickups will easily fit in the VP body route.

However, they may leave a visible gap between the pup and body, so a SD trim ring might also be needed if you want a tight looking fit. For reference the VP trim ring dimensions are…
3.665” x 1.635” x 0.050” internal
3.940” x 2.125” x 0.050” external

400 IIRC, manual - it's a beast of a car, do I need to arrange a test drive?

I’d only test drive it if I keen and able to buy. I’d be scared I’d love it and then always regret not being able to have it!
Maybe that’s just me lol
