Thunderbird Club

'60s retro - very cool... it checks all the style boxes and 800cc's is perfect.., at least in my book. And unlike its '60s inspirations - it doesn't leak oil and looks to have electronic ignition.

My 2005 VFR 800 Interceptor - not retro, but 800cc's. Easily handles a passenger (removable seat-cowl) and is sport-bike nimble solo.

Always been a big fan of the KZ-1000 and CB-750.

I still remember buying it. Freshman year. We had an overnight cross country meet and there was a White Front department store across the street from the motel we stayed at. I used some of my meal money to get it.

White Front department store rings a bell, I’m thinking there was one (or more) in the SF Bay Area in late sixties, when I was just 3-4 years old. Not sure, but if so they would have been gone by the ‘70’s.

My guess is the name of that store would not have made it into this millennium.

I've got something along those lines.

This! My favorite GM muscle car. I always preferred the model years ‘70-‘73, way above all others, and preferred Firebird over Camaro, and definitely the Formula over the T/A. The other one in these postings, the blue T/A, is gorgeous too, much better W/O the ‘bird on the hood. I like the smaller back window and taillights, chrome rear bumper. I’m definitely a Mopar guy, I’d love to own a ‘69 Charger or ‘70 Challenger someday, but I was lucky enough to have a ‘73 Firebird, however it was just a clean black on black Esprit model with the 350 2 barrel, smog pump, etc. all I did was dual exhaust. At the time I owned it I was seriously just living paycheck to paycheck, and that combined with having to have a smog inspection every 2 years, kept me from doing anything with it.

I grew up in San Leandro and you are right. It was in Oakland.

Hello Buddies! I wish you have a nice day (night for me) I want to share my night playing with all of you! Love thunderbird tone it’s everything, my band was a little confused when this beauty appeared haha but nowadays they love it too!
Cheers!

Great! And congratulations! The new NR’s are truly wonderful basses. Versatile tone from what IMO are very nice pickups. As your vid shows. Nice playing.

Yeah, Formie for me, too. All the substance of the Trans Am with none of the attention.

My wife uses a couple different recipe's for her red beans & rice. She will also improvise a little with them. Whichever way she makes them, they are always good.
I need to get my son to make some. He makes killer rice of all kinds. He worked in a Mexican Restaurant in Flag when he was in college and learned from a master. Sadly, Cafe Ole’ is closed.

A few are around here. Most prefer Cracker Barrel or Shoney's.
We just got a Cracker Barrel near us. It took a long time for them to hit Cali. We haven’t been to it yet because it’s always crowded. The ones I’ve been to, mostly the one in Flagstaff, may not the best breakfast in town (there are a couple really good local places), the but the ones I’ve been to are consistently good at a reasonably priced.

Yes indeed. Some are hit and miss. One close to us is marginal and constantly so. I almost always (95%) get breakfast there--or any place that serves good breakfast food. One interesting place in Chicago was Walker Bros. Had the best Belgian Waffles I've ever had. I think I'm right on the name. It's been about 30 yrs.

Great set list!
And you guys will knock those gigs outta the park. :)

Looks like it's going 60 sitting still.

I never understood how guys could ride them...and how can I say it...not be sitting on stuff.

It's very stable with smooth roll-on power - not a twitchy crotch-rocket. But it will move and strongly.

Not to beat a dead horse..but I’ve gone this far.
My Sparkling Burgundy tuner issue is over as far as me,Gibson and Sweetwater are concerned.
After several weeks of waiting for the second try to get the correct tuner replacements for my 23 NR.Gibson sent the correct tuners but no ferrules came with them. I explained to my SW rep that this is just like a nut and bolt. If one part, male or female is stripped the unit as a whole will not work.
SW was appalled (again) I made them an offer to buy the parts and fix it myself.
SW put back $318.00 onto my credit card for tuners and general hassle.
I’m still amazed that Gibson couldn’t get it right.

Anyway..as I have said before, these things happen to me all the time.No big deal.
Sweetwater stepped up to the plate after trying their best with the other company and made things right on my end.
