But i'd say it's kinda of a combo of all wrapped up into a dual rail pick up.
Can go from aggressive to smooth, and takes eq very well.

I always loved riding and hated running. Riding was freeing. Until there were accidents.... But loved it as a teen. Would get on my bike and ride for hours. We had no car, so it was a way see the sites a little. I found running too hard on things. Had a health prof in college who said a brisk walking was just and good and did less damage. (He knew his stuff, not the typical health prof. He was an expert in cardio and several other areas and lectured conferences for medical docs, in addition to be health prof of the year just before I had him. Tough class. Kind of like med school it seemed. It would have been worth just listening to him required or not.)
My fav of all they did. And yes on Dunbar. Such and cool feel he created. Smith was great, but Dunbar had more of a personal flavor or style, I thought.Journey’s best…..thx for posting…

Some black LaBella nylons would sound and look pretty good there!
(If inclined to the nylon sound. I love them on my '06.)
Folks, just wanted to let you know how disappointed I am with La Bella customer service. I definitely will never buy their strings again. I sent them a photo of the silks on their 750N tape wounds. Clearly there is a quality issue with the D string having about twice the silk length of any other string (see photo below). This makes using the Mod-Bar to move the silk off the saddles worthless.
Here was the response from La Bella:
"The tolerance is normal and the silk sitting on the barrels should not affect the tone in any way."
Any suggestions on cutting the silk or just swap out the strings for another brand?

That is an excessive amount. I have never actually cut back silks, but I would try it.
On my 3 points, I slip on an extra ball end if I want to space the strings back - usually only needed on the E.
You could possibly put some clear nail polish on the silk somewhere behind the saddle then carefully cut the silk. Or buy some D'Addario's.
Unfortunately, still have a case of mufunzalo.
La Bella has been dead to me since they discontinued my previous favorite strings.
The one time I had a issue I got to talk with an old VP who had been with them for years. Nice older guy. We talked about several thing and he mentioned talking to Chuck Rainey the week before. Don't know how I got him but it was a good experience--and has nothing to do with yours. I guess it's who get on the phone or email. But that is a crazy amount of "tolerance."
Two things:
1. I have used a razor knife to cut the silk back silks by first cutting along the length of the string with good results.
2. I could never tell a difference in tone. I've funny about tone, but I almost never worry about it any longer. I'm sure it makes some difference, but wether it's really noticeable is another matter.
