Inquiries have been made to price and availability of the new Epi's. My sales engineer (I'm certain they wear hard hats and have arms full of blueprints all day) had no idea it existed, but did inquire as to price and availability and found there was no information. As it replaces the Pro, if memory serves, I would bet the price would be in the same range as the one it's replacing.

If only it was the Pro it was replacing...

Didn't the add say it was replacing the Classic Pro?

I like the combination of black pups and bridge. Did you do mods of both or did prior owner? I didn't think that Gibson was putting Babzic bridges on those until very recently.

Welcome to: "the most interesting club on TB.com". "Stay thirsty, my friend".

[I guess since he has recently been replaced in the Dos Equis ads, he is technically the second most interesting man in the world. But I think that he is more iconic.]

Yeah, the previous owner put the Babzic on. He included the original bridge with the sale. I put the Lollars in because I thought the original pickups were pretty narrow in their sound. The Lollar's have that growly, piano thing going on in a much greater amount, IMHO. The additional clarity allows me to crank up the low end and not have the tone get muddy, to my ears. It works well in the trio (guitar/bass drums) in which I play. I have to cover a lot of space with my sound and this bass is doing very good job of that. :)

And it's starting. GC has knocked $100 off the price of the Sunburst Pro. Invalid Link Removed
I hope they knock the price off the Thunderbird classic pro as well. That would mean I get another 50 bucks off my bass.

I am now having my bass dropped off at the local UPS store location so instead of waiting all day Tuesday for UPS to deliver, I can pick up my new T-bird from the UPS store on my way home from work in the morning! :bassist:
