Thunderbird Club

If you do dance around a large outdoor fire in a grass skirt, just remember, a fire extinguisher is your friend.

Ahhh, yes. The burning bush.

This made me laugh! Zero affiliation but I thought you guys(unisex term) wiuld get a kick out of an Epi that was three times the going pricing.
Actually that's the ultra rare iPhone edition that has the clever iPhone silhouette in the finish on the front and back. Very rare bird and worth every dime.

Thanks! I know most people go with silver but I got this with the Babzic bridge in black, so I did not want to drop the dollars on new parts.
I like the combination of black pups and bridge. Did you do mods of both or did prior owner? I didn't think that Gibson was putting Babzic bridges on those until very recently.

Welcome to: "the most interesting club on TB.com". "Stay thirsty, my friend".

[I guess since he has recently been replaced in the Dos Equis ads, he is technically the second most interesting man in the world. But I think that he is more iconic.]

Hi folks, dropped off a Gibson Bass Book to my nephew today. While I was there we dragged out his Thunderbirds. He had a question on the Legacy that I couldn't answer apart from 'it's a tuner'.
I'm hoping the good folk in this august club may be able to advise on how to work the thing.
It is labeled "£-tune" with the £ being a symbol like a musical note I think.
You pull out the vol control and it lights up.

Never seen that before. Do those lights change color? Seems like the left would be flat, the right would be sharp, and in tune would be both lit. Don't know for certain, but that's how most other tuners in the world work.

He's also got too much string on the tuning machine post. That causes string slippage and problems staying in tune.

I'm colour blind so I didn't notice if it did. :)
But I'll pass it on. Also I'll pass on the string thing.

Also, it's a bloody heavy thing. Quite a lot heavier than my Goth or his Pro IV

Yeah, that was like 250 posts ago. ;)
But news like that is always mentioning twice, shame I'll be out of work otherwise I would have been buying a couple of them

You're more observant than me, it's one of those things I had forgotten but subconsciously know about but never think about while stringing
