Thunderbird Club

When I was 11 my dad bought a brand new Honda Accord. It was probably the first car in the neighborhood where one didn't need to roll down the windows manually. Of course one of the neighbors said "those things won't work in the winter"...
Finland, late 80's.

My dad wouldn't have electric windows on cars (until there was no choice). He would say "just another thing to go wrong".

Of course, the manual windows in the 78 Impala broke twice.

That’s what sissy bars are for!
Maybe for the TBird-in its ohsc-but not for this(only amp at the time).

The ‘21 NR has more compared to the shorty which is the one I have with me right now. That’s not surprising given the neck pickup position on the shorty. I need to have the ‘21 and ‘13 together in the same place and AB them to make an accurate comparison. Which I haven’t really done. @BklynKen should come to the GTG and compare them!
You'll also have to make sure they both have the same strings, etc., for an accurate comparison.

Yep. They have the same Power Steels. I’ll try through the SVT first as I’m going up to the mountain for a few days on Sunday and that’s where the ‘13 is. I really need to get an iPad interface so I can record.
Nice. The Apogee Jam thingies are good and I've had one of them for years. I really like the Teisco Interface pedal I got more recently, but that one only works with USB A or C.

We stuck with manual windows as much as we could. To date, the failure rate is probably about even for us, but electric windows cost more to repair (in our experience).

I do a lot of local driving all day most every day here in the SF Bay Area, and I’d guess most people are getting thief license by ordering it out of the back of a magazine or something…

We used to refer to those drivers as having K-Mart Blue Light Special licenses.

Back when K-Marts were a thing.

Why not? I carried my 100W Univox on the back of mine.

(Because the bike handled like a pig with that amp on it, that's why not.)

IIRC, I put the amp on upside down so gravity would hold the tubes in place rather than trying to steal them.

Thanks Ken. I’ve been looking at them, including Apogee. I’ll check out the Teisco. My most recent iPad, which is what I’ll have to use, is USB C.
