There probably was a lot of waste. But I would guess what they were doing was cutting 2 neck blanks from one board. Like this:right, but how was it done in the 60’s? all that wasted Honduran mahogany…

Where did you get your strap from? I've been seeking one of those for awhile.
I'm definitely gonna keep this one readily available in my head."There are no wrong notes. Only the look on yer face."
You Sir, are a bass playin' machine!

Yeah. That isn't me. I don't have the hair to do that.
That would be from his Rose Tattoo era I guess. He used a couple of TBirds with them. As did a predecessor, Geordie Leach.

Hoping this is just a surface crack… I think @KaraQ had this on a white one too?
You can find all different colors for those on eBay.Also, are there silver knobs, as a replacement for the gold or black ones? Or, where can I find black ones?
For hard cases get the Epi triangular case. It fits the CP and the VP. The one I got a month ago was actually an inch longer than the one that came with the CP. Fit the VP with room to spare.Holy moly this VP is big. I was hoping it would fit in my Icon gig bag/case that the T-bird fits in slightly loosely, but no go.
Do any of you have a gig bag/fitted case for your VP’s?

@Miles_ONeal Are you familiar with this Austin, Texas band from 1968? Someone wants to know what kind of bass this is in Miscellaneous. I guessed either a Gibby or a Fender, has to be flats and the guy played with a pick. They were pretty good actually.

It's also a good way to make multipiece necks or neckthroughs with thinner boards. Some of the late 60's EB basses have 3 piece necks. Are the NR birds all one piece?yeah, thought that and you can prolly stack a few that way…
