All my solid color basses (taken that black isn't really a color). My son took the one below where everything looks more green (and pink!).

I watched s couple of concerts online. Well, tried to. It was depressing.
It can be.

A few years ago, one of my all time favorite bands, Yes, did a 50th Anniversary show at the Amphitheater that’s a half mile from my house. I walked over, paid my $10.00, and sat up on the grass. It’s a great venue. I mostly enjoyed 90 minutes of Steve Howe and his friends and family, including Billy Sherwood on bass and Howe’s son on drums, play Yes covers. They had to wheel poor Alan White out to play drums for the 20 minute encore. Tony Kaye (the keyboardist before Rick Wakeman joined) also came out. The music was great. The musicianship was excellent. It wasn’t Yes. And I was very sad. I will never go to a show like that again. It’s too depressing.

I’m on a trip to Japan and hit up some shops in Osaka today. One had a couple nice vintage birds. A 79’ and a 67’

That’s a little over 3K for that Bicentennial. That’s a good price. WAIT!! Isn’t that the black Bicentennial that, oh god, I can’t remember who, has been looking for? Andy, V, help me out. If it is, we need to tell him.

That’s about $10,300 for that ‘67. That would make a very nice souvenir from your trip, Wolverine. Can you tell us which shop it is?

A 79 in Black. Yes I think that is the one to make the set.

@KingFace

My preference is to re-do it in solid black as it was originally - I've found a couple of sources that I've bookmarked, but as I've got other projects in process/in queue, I've not cut into it further, yet.

Of the amps I've tried with the cab so far, the Peavey Mark III/IV amps have been the best, imo, largely because of their EQ-ing options.
Would love to hear how it sounds cranked up a bit......

What i’d really love to try is a MarkIII/IV
through my Bergantino cab.

Hmm. Interesting to know approximately what mine might be worth-if it wasn't so "relic-ed"/repaired.

I have the live album from Pittsburgh. I don't mind listening to some of the newer songs, but don't go out of my way. It's/was little more than a tribute band with an original member or two. I have everything prior to that. Gone through two live albums (years ago) and on my CD version now, even have the original Street Survivors album that was initially recalled. Miles is the other devotee.
In my humble opinion, having never written a song myself, Ronnie was a fantastic lyricist and a great producer in that he knew what music would fit his lyrics and pulled it out of the other musicians in the band. He was a storyteller who managed to paint a picture with songs like Things Goin’ On and Gimme Three Steps so that even if you didn’t live in his world, you completely experienced it through his songs. Springsteen is similar in that regard. Without him, it didn’t work for me.

Did I ever mention I was a fool for selling my MK III?........ :banghead:

Well, I *do* have two of them......only 36-ish lbs., so not too horrible for shipping ;)

........

I’ve always wondered if there is a maintenance regime that comes with those. Are you supposed to re oil them every so often ?

...........

I re-oiled mine with, I think, bore oil? when I got it, because it looked pretty dry. I figure a similar level of oiling maintenance as the fretboard?
