I’ve tried a number of strings on the 2015 and for me EBCFs seemed to work best followed closely by La Bella Black tapes.
Good luck on the set up. Those darn pickups have some massive magnetic pull!
Just a non intuitive thing I found with the 2015 - lower the pickups into the body as far as they will go, then do all of your restringing and action and intonation work. Once you have it all where you want it, slowly raise each pickup a bit then check intonation, action and tuning again. Keep doing this raise and check process until you start to notice the strings going out of tuning or intonation or if it starts to negatively impact the action to the point of fret buzz. When that happens, lower the pickups back down just a tad and reset your tuning and intonation and make sure your action is where you want it. I’ve never had to do that on any other bass I’ve ever owned. And it took me quite a while to figure it all out on this one.
Different strings will be impacted by the magnets differently, so where you end up on action and pup height will depend a lot on the strings you use.
PS - pay attention to the string break angle on the bridge. I found that I had zero break angle at the E string saddle once everything was set up and ready to go. So I removed the spacer plate from under the bridge, which allowed me to increase the saddle height to create the proper break angle needed for good intonation.

I've owned a few -
'52 International 3/4 ton - not mine but same year/colour... a beast with a low gear that could climb walls. If you want the experience of driving a TRUCK - this is a truck, not a luxury version of a truck...
'67 Chevy (not mine, mine was blue w/wht top and had standard wheels/tyres)
'86 Toyota SR-whatever... extension cab and extension bed. (not mine - but same colour /similar topper - just no big off-road tyres, snazzy wheels or windscreen visor) In retrospect, a very good pu.

It's more of a red version of orange - it's cool. Translucent finishes are hard to photograph as nice as the are.
While we’re talking about 2015 birds, I had planned to do a control mod on mine some day. It would only require replacing the two “on/on” coil tap switches with a set of “on/on/on” switches that would change the function to series/coil tap/parallel for even more added flexibility while retaining the stock look. Plus it’s easily reversible if I ever wanted to take it back to stock.

but the International was no slouch for a 3/4 ton!
I’ve owned several Jeeps, and my parents owned a Bronco, K5 Blazer and Toyota SR5 pickup that I drove a lot. I was an active off roader with my jeeps in the mid 1990’s through the early 2000’s. I’ve debated about getting another Jeep or possibly a Defender or maybe even an early 1970’s pickup truck to get back into off roading again, just not sure my back can still take the abuse those beasts can dish out when tooling around off road.
I had a 1987 Cherokee Laredo (no pic) and a couple of Wranglers…
I got to counting, and I've had more trucks than I thought - not counting a '68 Ranchero and my '95 Suburban and a couple of Jeeps - if I'm remembering all, the current one is the seventh overall, and the fourth diesel.

I nearly bought one of these - but I'm 6'1" and my head hit the roof...
Personal preference would be a Dodge, but in that year range, these days, and for those purposes, I'd probably to for whatever had the best parts support - probably Chevrolet? Not sure if Chevy or Ford is better these days on those old trucks.
You get out away from the cities & quick Amazon/eBay/etc., delivery, broken parts on a 50-ish year old truck can become an issue.
I'm also 6'1" (or, used to be, not quite now) and have issues with that a lot - it's why I haven't had a car in......ten years? I think? I can fit, height-wise, in full-size truck-like vehicles much better.

I really wanted one of those Ford pu's, (actually have only owned an '80s Ford Fiesta!) but other than the cab-height issue, the ones I saw always had 'bed-sag' (angled bed-cab relationship) which I never understood...
Bent &/or rusted frame, usually, ime.
Less common, the mounts for cab & bed are shot/rusted.
A lot of trucks, especially half-ton/150/1500 trucks are over worked/loaded, and it catches up to them, eventually.
