Sure seems lonely here with everyone gone.
There are all my good hobbies in this picture (airplane, amps, bike, car)
But there's a bass guitar missing.

What a day Saturday was! Up early to get cleaned up, do make up and dress, then Frank and I loaded up the Subaru with 6 basses and Andy for the trip to Santa Cruz and More Music.
Chuck, playing my BaCH, he's looking quite dapper as he'll have to spend some of the day attending a wedding.

Here with Becca, the very talented guitarist.

Here with my Lull, this man can play the bass!

I absolutely love this picture, we're out in front of More Music, Classic! Love this guy!

The time went by so quickly, we did take a lunch break though, Jeff and I got a chance to catch up a little when we fetched some great pizza from a shop just across the street.
Look at this guy smile! That's George's exquisite Bling Bird he's playing.

Once you get the new stings on it…..@MCF thanks for tweaking the bridge on my 2015. That change really lowered the setup. I’ll take your suggestion and lower the pickups as I am now hearing some chorus.
"See, my other hand is reverse and the other is non-reverse!"
Rethinking ever attending then.yesit's required.

LOL - Sure looks like a fish story. IIRC we were discussing the finer points of measuring pickup dimensions. I’ll be very interested in seeing and hearing about Dave’s SD thunderbird pup install. He’s got a design upgrade in mind for his VP that might just make an already fantastic sounding bass a truly stellar sounding bass.
Some picture from Friday evening, Frank and I left Seattle at 2:00AM and got into Hollister about 4:30, pretty good trip, used I-5 all the way except for the last 40 miles or so. The Holiday Inn is very nice, our room was new and very tidy, plus they had some carts on hand that made moving the basses super easy and safe, will definitely stay there again.
The Californians are welcome to claim Texas; they're fam, after all.You could likely go, but...the Portuguese are apparently not happy with all the people from California moving there. It's a hugely popular destination for those living in Cal for some reason more so than other states and country destinations. Same weather as mid-California maybe?
Irv was.
Chucky may be questionable from this pic. Did someone pass gas....
(Yes, I'm all for a juvenile sense of humor.)

I usually start at 4mm and move down or up as needed to eliminate noise and equalize volume. On my ‘15 with stainless steels, the neck side of the neck pickup is approximately 5mm. The hotter bridge pick is lower; about 6.5 mm on the neck side of it.
Your ‘15 is a nice one Dave. Congratulations again.
Saturday continued.......
After a great day at More Music we loaded up the basses and went back to Hollister, once there the perfect thing to do was dinner. What could be better than a pleasant evening outside with such wonderful people, I felt like we could talk together until the small hours and never run out of conversation. Thunderbirds got us all together, it's so much more than that now, what an evening, I'll treasure the memories!
Irv, Chuck, and Dave.
