It was a fun weekend Donnie. Hopefully we can have a great event next summer in Seattle.

We kicked things off with pizza and Thunderbird playing at Chucky’s Friday night. Saturday included six and a half hours of playing Thunderbirds and assorted other basses through some vintage amps at More Music in Santa Cruz were host David Haniloff and his guitarist assistant Becca made us feel at home. We has a great dinner at Ridgemark Golf Club in Hollister (I highly recommended the Cowboy Burger). We had a pleasant Sunday Breakfast at Flapjack’s in Tres Pinos. We went to Damn Winery in Hollister for the better part of the afternoon where we enjoyed listening to Becca play her guitar for a couple of sets with Chucky and the John Michael Band. We adjourned to Chucky’s for more Thunderbird goodness and conversation. We capped off the evening with a late supper at a local Mexican grill. A few of us stragglers are meeting this morning for breakfast before loading the cars and heading home.

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and Chucky for their friendship and generosity.

New guitar day! Or I haven't bought it yet but my friend already gave it to me and said "take your time with the payments" so it's a deal, right?

1983 Ibanez Roadstar II, compliments nicely my '81 Blazer BL50MH which is basically the same guitar except it has two humbuckers and the headstock is a bit bigger.
The phase switch works better on this in my opinion as the pickup combinations to which it affects are closer together (neck/middle or middle/bridge). You get a nice ringing sound if that is needed.

Inspired by that I quickly put together this non-gigging board. With two compressors, chorus and two delays.

I gotta get that tremolo pedal info from @JIO (please post a photo of it, it kills!). I gotta get my ThunderCaster pickguard fab in the que with @Engle asap, also can’t wait to hear your daughters thoughts on the Kala bass you won. I gotta do something about my Outlaw GAS, thanks @TBird1958 for bringing that odd duck and be sure to have Frank patch that pocket amp into a full size cab for a real treat. @JJR58 thanks so much for the vibrato technique pointers, can’t wait to spend some time in the woodshed working on them. @MCF ping me when you get a chance and we’ll work on some soldering tips and tricks, and give that A/E bass you just bought a nice workout. @Stealth57 be sure to pass on a big thumbs up to whoever made that Baklava, it was to die for, also try not to blow your speakers out with that overdrive pedal! @Miles_ONeal wear that lady killer badge proudly, not many bass players get to make that claim. @Nocturnal great hanging with you on the trip up and back, we need to start comparing notes on bass purchases, we have very similar interests, this is the band I thought you might like… https://www.amazon.com/Pet/dp/B000002JWR
shame they only made one album before folding. And a big welcome to new mystery club member 912, a great guy and phenomenal player with some equally outstanding gear, you’ll fit in great here!

Georges 3 pu "Bling-Bass" for me was the big impress of the day (there were 29 basses there that we brought) and that's saying a lot because all 29 sounded, looked and played great! He 'did his own research' ;) and the result exceled in every dept., looks, player interface to controls, playability and tone - bravo for his 1st build! :thumbsup:
