Is that the place we had dinner at Sunday night?
SO how much cargo space does the gigmobile need to haul all of our basses in hardshell cases cross country for a GTG in Brooklyn?
I shoulda ordered that.Yezzir.
Damn! I used to own one like that. The bass, people, the bass.I’m not sure what’s more sexy, the twinkle in her eye, the twinkles from her dress, or the Gibby in her hands.

The Queens BaCH does it all with ease.

Hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like the wire mesh wrap from the neck pickup isn’t soldered to the neck volume pot housing.Well, soldering day on the VP. Given the mess on the neck volume pot I felt the no sound was obvious. Replaced the pot with the same type I used for the bridge volume. Still no output from the neck pickup.
I hate troubleshooting wiring when there is no obvious break.

Agree. Who opens a case and steals the bass and leaves the case. Well, with some of the Gibson cases being so heavy I suppose there might be some justification for leaving the case if trying to get away on foot.So my OCD got the better of me with the case for the ‘05 Studio. I found the right screwdriver bit for the square screws and removed the latch with the sawed off tangs. The prior owner did that because he forgot the combination. Who needs a lock anyway.

I use D'Addario lite gage (40,60,80,100) or Ken Smith Balanced on my 'Bird. Try it you'll like it.I played that bass again at rehearsal Sunday, love how plays but the strings are just not working in very well, they're prone to going out of tune after being played, much more so than any of my others. May have to try some Ken Smith Burners.

Didn't hear anything I didn't like or found uninteresting at all. Great job! Thanks!!
I believe the best, or at least most interesting, tracks over all 5 releases are “DeadHouse” and “Burn it Down”. There are plenty of “rockers” throughout, simple “big dumb” rock songs as we call them, but those are two (and there are a few others also) that show our guitar players talents in writing and on other instruments such as pedal steel, mandolin, slide.
Listening and following now on Spotify! Great so far!
It is, just a short piece of braid. I tugged on all the solder joints to make sure they were solid. Going to check if any ground is touching a hot lead.Hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like the wire mesh wrap from the neck pickup isn’t soldered to the neck volume pot housing.
I love discussing technical stuff with Chuck!Problem solving with Chuck!

Those screws that take a square driver are called Robertson, eh.So my OCD got the better of me with the case for the ‘05 Studio.
