Thunderbird Club

Looks like you’ve been pretty impressed with Boss pedals. All the ones I’ve tried or heard seem to be a pretty good value.

I use BOSS and MXR pedals primarily.

...and more recently a couple different brands on the amp side (into the MXR bass d.i.+) -

That will be fun. I remember when it was listed thinking that it was possibly touched and blessed my Leo himself. It’s got the nice headstock too.
Really looking forward to getting it. Hopefully no surprises. I always wanted a Leo generation G&L (and not with the black crackle hardware finish. First time in a long time I was interested in something non-Thunderbird.

It’s actually a great buying strategy!
If you can find something local that costs maybe even a bit more than the best deal you can find nationally, make the local seller an offer and be sure to note that you’ll pickup locally, no need to ship. you’d be surprised how many sellers dread all the hassles of shipping things and will usually cut you a pretty sweet deal to avoid those hassles.
That is the method that I use. I usually put the shipping issue in my opening offer. Cash always helps too.

I had an old Coliseum…amazing, but if they could retain its magic with more headroom and less noise, I’d snap one up in a heartbeat!
Speaking of underrated bass amps…what’s yours? Mine would be…
Fender TB1200
Mesa 400+
Ampeg SVT2 (non Pro)
Ampeg B-100r, close to the sound of a B15 but for only $250 :D

That's sweat! Looks to be in great condition! You got a winner! :bassist:

Here's the wiring - passive but with more going on. I drew this from my friends early '80s L1000.

they wanted 700 bucks for this at a pawn shop in Eureka, and Rosa kept insisting I get it (when does that happen?) but just to heavy for me…..should have bought and sold it in retrospect…..:banghead:
didn’t know they were so highly prized…

Lab Series L2 and L4.

Boss utilities and MXR chorus pedals have also their place on my board... just well made and readily available stuff, easily replaced.

Both of my Boss pedals happen to be utility pedals and the ones found at your board too. TU-3 and LS-2. No MXR's at this point but Ibanez, Digitech, EBS, Suncoast, Nux, Broughton and Seymour Duncan.
I just added a second overdrive to my gigging board and it's waiting for tomorrows rehearsal, will take a picture then.
I also have more old Ibanez L & 10 series pedals, DOD Milkbox, Strymon Lex, Digitech Hardwire, old Shin-Ei Fuzz wah, Boss volume pedal (another utility Boss!) and what else. I smell the fx pedal g.a.s...
