Nice, but I’m holding out for pre pandemic prices. Just too much stuff out there with premium pricing, not moving fast in most cases unless it’s investment grade.

I think the only way a nicely checked Tbird of that age could be had for pre-pan prices is via a used GC screwup.

It’s actually a great buying strategy!
If you can find something local that costs maybe even a bit more than the best deal you can find nationally, make the local seller an offer and be sure to note that you’ll pickup locally, no need to ship. you’d be surprised how many sellers dread all the hassles of shipping things and will usually cut you a pretty sweet deal to avoid those hassles.

Sweet if you can avoid the tax.

He's not sold/bought much (4 deals), so I don't know how much he understands about it being a pain at times. Maybe a lot. But he didn't mention anything about shipping or pickup. I asked for less and pointed out I would drive all the way (Lawrenceburg, a little over 1 hr from home), save shipping and give him cash instead of PP taking their chunk. I offered $1,300. Seems if excellent condition and the maple neck has fantastic grain. No response yet. I'm not sure he knows the trouble of selling a bass and shipping it.

I love that they’re talking about using one preamp with multiple class D amps. The Fender Rumble 40, 100, 200, 500, & 800 all use the same preamp into a different sized power amp. There are differences in tone, but these are attributable to the different speakers and cabs.

They don’t talk much about bass amps, but they do plan to make Coliseums at some point. The beta bass and beta bass pre are already on their website, so look for those sooner.

They did mention the 200S and a 215 cab. They said the key to that amp was the transformers. Chucky told me the same thing.

Looks like you’ve been pretty impressed with Boss pedals. All the ones I’ve tried or heard seem to be a pretty good value.

They are easy to actuate with bare feet.

@JIO brought it to the GTG along with a reverb pedal that sounded equally good but I don’t recall the brand or model. Either would sound very cool with a fretless.

That's the one. I also have an MXR Uni-Vibe which is cool in a different way, but I don't use it with the bands - I use the TR-2 on a couple of songs.

I wanted a 400+ for a while - nearly bought one years ago. There was a Fender Studio (combo) Bass amp at the GTG music store day - it sounded awesome. Wanted one of those too!

My first ‘serious’ bass was an ‘81 L-1000. Such an awesome sounding bass! Stolen around ‘87 but man I’d love to grab another one day.
