Thunderbird Club

Had a great rehearsal last night, our original guitarist has rejoined the band and everything just jelled really well, instead of dreading our very big Halloween show, we are now all super excited to hit it. I cautioned our singer about bumping into me and used the '64 with the Trace Elliott - All I can say is, Damn! Its just so good!
The only downside will be giving our (now former) guitar player the news that they're no longer in the band........

That is great news V! I liked her from before. Should be a great show!

Long story, short. After 57 years of plucking the bass, one left hand surgery with a year if physical therapy, I have come to the end of the road. Before I eBay/Craigslist them, I thought I should see if there is any interest in the group.View attachment 5193368View attachment 5193369 View attachment 5193370View attachment 5193371 View attachment 5193372View attachment 5193374 View attachment 5193375
I’m so sorry to hear that. You have some beauties. Thanks for the heads up! There will be some soul searching and wallet checking the next few days.

I am really sorry to read that you can't continue to play, Chris. The basses are all quite stunning, have you priced them? Perhaps a PM.
I'd be sure to Scott Dasson know about that exquisite Non Reverse.

Has anyone ever bought a bass from any of these “Ships from Japan” sellers? If so, how was the experience?

I question because I see the same instrument listed, under separate listing for different prices, and looking closely at the photos, I can see it’s the same photos used in different listings, at different prices. That makes me cautious.

I purchased one of my Greco Birds from Japan. Incredibly smooth transaction and I received the bass within 3 days! The way Willy described the listings is spot on.

I am really sorry to hear this news. I wish I could buy one of the Cataldo's but I'm not in buying mode at the moment. Best of luck with the sales!!

So sorry to hear.

Any other instruments you can make music with? Keetar, harmonica, recorder, tambourine? Bass ukelele?

I don't want to even ask about the pelham bird..... unless multiple payments of pocket lint and stock in Bud Light are accepted....

Wowza, that NR is incredible. I'm sorry to hear about the circumstances, hopefully there's a way to keep making music.

Wow, not good news at all.
But I guess the good news is it will heal.
And you had many good years of playing.

I’ll never be able to afford any of those beautiful basses.
You’re a kind man for making the offer here first.
Gotta be peoples here that will bite though.

Sorry to hear that you are having to move on. The green one is stellar, and I don't even like NRs. The Cataldos are pretty good, too. There is no doubt those will find good homes.

Don't let Scott's roadie know about it if any of us want it, though.
