Do you have a SVT? IMO, Thunderbird players should have one as an option. Great tone. All it takes is money and a strong back. Or a roadie.

I have the SVT-6 pro which is an 1100 watt rack type, not sure how it truly compares to the 300w head... but it weighs 12 metric poopie tons....

Ha! You are obviously a true Neil fan Willy. It was Bruce Berry who loved the van, but you know that.
When Neil and the Horse played the two night run at the Forum at the end of October ‘77 on the Rust tour, Elliott Roberts (his manager) came out on stage before the shows and begged everyone to buy Tonight’s the Night. Comes A Time was the current release and was selling well. Rust Never Sleeps hadn’t come out yet (and didn’t for another six months or so) as they were recording it during the tour. But that tour has come to be known as the Rust tour anyway. Neil’s house in Malibu Canyon burned down during one of the two nights, along with several other homes during a week of wild Santa Ana winds (I have dibs on that for a band name BTW). Neil found out it happened during the show. He didn’t blink and went on with the show like a pro. That’s when he left SoCal (he’s back) to live up at his ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains permanently.
I still remember those shows like they were yesterday. Two of the best nights of my life.
Tonight’s the Night has become a true classic. It’s gritty, raw and full of emotion. But Warner/Reprise hated it, at first they refused to release it, and they didn’t do a thing to promote it. When Neil threw a fit, claimed breach of contract and got hit lawyers involved, Reprise released it. Because of that, when Neil’s deal with Reprise was up, Neil signed a deal with Geffen as a F you to Reprise. Reprise learned its lesson. Neil and Geffen didn’t get along, Reprise begged Neil to come back, and that’s where Neil has been again for the last thirty years. If Neil wants something released, Reprise releases it, no questions asked.
BTW, Archives Vol 1 I now available again. If you don’t have it, it’s well worth the price of admission.
