Bit of a rough day. I thought I was having a heart attack since I was on the verge of fainting standing or sitting, couldn’t focus, and was sweating profusely. Went to the extent of calling 911. The very nice paramedics checked out my blood pressure and blood sugar and I was ok. Probably exhaustion and a bit of an ear ache. I slept the rest of the afternoon.
I hate that I’m old enough to even worry about a heart issue. Beyond having a broken heart.

Oh man, just take care of yourself.
A broken heart can be mended.

No age is immune to heart issues. A friend of mine (Mark Heard) had a heart attack on stage when he was 40. We also knew a 12 y/o with a hole in her heart. Yikes!

One of my younger sister’s classmates had a hole in her heart; she decided to go at life full bore. Sadly she passed at 16.

Wilkins is a busy guy. I heard, not sure how accurate it is, that Marty Bell may limiting his intake in contemplation of retirement. So that leaves Wilkins as pretty much the best well known finisher in SoCal. There are obviously other good finishers in SoCal, but it’s hard to figure out who they are just searching the web.

Do you have a SVT? IMO, Thunderbird players should have one as an option. Great tone. All it takes is money and a strong back. Or a roadie.

I had one(mid 70s Blue Line + 810 cab). Didn't hate it, but also never liked it. Sold it. Had one other 'peg later(combo). Same opinion on it. Traded it for something useful(PA gear). I don't like Ampeg's 'baked in' sound. JMNSHO.

I have only seen vids of her playing reverses, plus the one ancient thing with an FSO before she saw the light[ning].

I don’t even know if that was hers. Aubert was a Gibson/Epi guy. She was way into music. She and Brian became buddies during a Uni abroad program. Brian convinced her to learn bass. So they found a GK amp and got her started. At some point she got her first Thunderbird. Brian helped her learn to play. She got the first Ampeg rig that is in the Kissing Families vid. It all fell into place. Ampeg and Thunderbird. They recorded Carnavas, and she developed into one of the best bassists in alt rock. She writes her own lines. I love her.

They eventually were able to operate on this young lady and she's been able to go full bore since. Prior to that, she had to be really careful.

BTW a new Gibson pickup would work really well in it, if you don't have something lined up, that's what Rob is using in that NR I posted earlier today.

That’s what I’m putting in my BaCH II. With George’s help. Given how great the contoured body, neck, and hardware are, I’m going to have a very hard time deciding what to play. It, the ‘15, or the ‘21 NR. And the other Thunderbirds I have.

Yup. I'm pretty sure I saw an interview in which she referenced having a Fender very early on. I wouldn't testify to that in a court of law, though.

There are no ‘76 NRs. But given how many basses you have, I know it can be confusing.
