Thunderbird Club

Been away for a few days getting ready for my wife's operation which she had this morning (thyroid cancer), so I guess I'll be preoccupied for a while longer. Didn't want to just drop off the face so to speak, will be back to annoy you all again soon, be warned :)

Best wishes to your wife with the surgery and recovery, hoping for best possible outcome.

You are threatening to unleash our Kat on the rest of the world? I'm not sure that's a good idea.
LOL - a couple of our TBird clan are regulars over there. The misinformation thread contains a vast wealth of expert knowledge on every aspect of owning and operating a bass guitar. Kat's rattlesnake hack is exactly the keen perspective sought on that thread. Here's a taste of my sage advice to all those bitten by the bass bug...

Kat and others on this thread would fit in perfectly over there.

Took out the new Epiphone Tbird with active EMGs to practice tonight. Thing sounds so different from my other Epi and Gibson bird. Not anywhere as deep or growling as they are. The EMGs do sound good and the mids do cut into the mix very well. They also have a more modern sound compared to my birds with passive pups. Nice change of pace and will make a good backup to the Gibson.
