I've got a unused set of SIT Power Steels. I'll trade if you if you like. I have the Power Steels on everything that calls for them as far as I can tell. I haven't tried any of the Fusion offerings. No worries either way, just an option.I didn't know you had one! Sweet!
It's raining like a MF here in Seattle.
Played the 7enderbird at rehearsal last night, it's pretty sweet but I'm not loving the strings so much - SIT Fusion Nickel, a little soft and not enough clank, mark it up as experience.

Or go total heavy metal.Speaking of Fenderbirds, I've seen these come up for a while - a good visual hybred of a Jaguar-style body with a NR T-bird'esque pg. ESP make quality guitars/basses in an affordable price range. I've seen this model posted for less, over a grand seems a bit steep. But active, string-thu, 5 bolt neck, EMG pu's, high-mass bridge and decent looking - I don't need another bass but I'd rock one. Kind'of a Fenderbird from a different angle.

Yeah it's pretty much ready to rock! I might change it over to a 2 piece bridge when I paint it a colour.Nice, and it's got the good bridge!
What's going on there?
Someone decided to measure from the 12th fret wire to the mid line of the pickups and created a Wiki with all the different models.I don't remember if we had done this in other portions of our now closed off Tbird clubs, but i just measured the pickup distance from the nut in my treebird
Neck pickup is 27 3/16"

Bridge pickup 31"

Compared to a vintage unit (if you recognize this bass/picture as yours, please credit yourself!l)

27" neck pickup, 30.5" bridge pickup.
Epiphone isn't too far off, they are sitting closer to the bridge than the neck.
I do like their black tapes on the TV Silver you worked on. Makes that one a unique Thunderbird.I was going to say the same - my strings of choice. EXLBT Nickle-wound to be exact.![]()
Reminds me I have a few to measure yet.Someone decided to measure from the 12th fret wire to the mid line of the pickups and created a Wiki with all the different models.

Pelham Blue would look nice…..Yeah it's pretty much ready to rock! I might change it over to a 2 piece bridge when I paint it a colour.

Go hipshot ultralites 1/2" clovers. Ive got some on my squier pbass affinity series from 04 (slowly replicating my first pbass when i was younger but had traded back then). They look great & feel sturdy. Also lightweight, so no dive.
Big fan of these Gotoh’s if you’re into this sorta thing.
