Thunderbird Club

unbeatable with English mustard and a pint of Young’s Special…..:hyper::hyper::hyper::drool::drool:

You might have to arrive a day or two early for the GTG, Seattle has so much good food.

I got a deal on a half dozen NIB 1964 'birds, one in each primary and secondary color - only $15K each. Unfortunately while setting them up, each one took its first chance to run to the edge of the bench and dive head first onto the giant pillow I keep there, snapping its neck and peppering me with wooden shrapnel. So now I'm out $90K for the 'birds and $5k in medical bills. On the plus side, I've sworn off bass and taken percussion back up, which is cheaper and mostly less dangerous. Mostly. Occasional stagedivers use djembes as trampolines, and as they inevitably break their necks (peppering me with bone shrapnel), my 'bird PTSD kicks in.

One down, and half a day to go. First conference since before covid. Caught myself wandering back to my motel in downtown Seattle. Happened into Daniel's Broiler and had some delicious bacon wrapped scallops and a bowl of chowder. Comfort food for the soul. Looking forward to playing my Birds in the man cave soon. Happy almost Friday everyone.

Next time you're on this side of the mountains let me know a little in advance - we could have gotten together for dinner :)
