Run and done…
View attachment 5248431
My daughter and I wrapped up our memorial run for my late wife and spread some ashes at Otter Point in Monterey (one of my wife’s favorite spots in the area). Can’t wait to get back home and get back to figuring a few new songs out on the bass and putting some of the last touches on the two Tbird builds I have in the works.
Well done!!

@GonePlaid and I think @WillyW Happy Veteran's Day. Thanks for serving. If I missed anyone else, it was by accident. We can definitely include @PillO as well.

It is rare that Remembrance Day is on a Saturday. Only about 1/7th of the time... I took my daughter (as I used to before she started school). Didn't run into any former colleagues this year, but had a meaningful conversation with my daughter about wars, their origins and resolutions. And expressed my disdain for having politicians lay wreaths as they cause the wars but suffer none of the harms.

So, my wife took me to the Def Leppard (she is a big fan) and Motley Crüe show last night.
A night of surprises:
1. Def Leppard were the first band up. (Very good).
2. Motley were good. Nikki using TSOs rather than T’birds. I think they might have been Sandburg 48’s ? That’s what they reminded me of anyway. They all seemed to be PJ format. He also used a FSO for a number or two, looked like a Schecter? J. At least one of the TSO’s may have been a Schecter as well.
3. My favourite part of their set was the medley of covers. Hmmm.

And the biggest shock!
4. When Vince introduced the backup singers dancers as the
NASTY HABITS!
I saw Def Leppard a while ago (couple of years?) playing, I think, the RnR HoF induction (or something else maybe?). They sounded really good.

I passed on seeing Motley Crue (why isn't there a cover band called Motley Cruex?) as everything I have seen of them recently has me thinking that it is a cash grab - Vince can't sing and the rest are just putting in time. Has anything happened with them and the Mick Mars lawsuit recently?

Thanks for the help.
The screw holes on the G3 are 103.80 mm apart..
It seems that they are different from the EB/EBO series.
I do know that I'm not going to drill the body of fit an aftermarket plate.
Cheers!
For sure, I wouldn't drill any extra holes in a G3! Yeah I've got one of those covers - the holes on that cover are about 117mm center to center. You could put fake screw heads on the cover and use double sided tape to mount it, but I'd be concerned about the tape on the finish.

How am I so busy all the time? I can play again, but I seem to have so little time to actually do it these days.

Today, we went bowling to celebrate my brother's birthday. Went for lunch afterwards. I felt the need to scrub my hands well as god knows how many people have handled those balls...

I know all about Ba........

Nevermind!

Candlepin or Ten Pin?

Someone here mentioned how they wanted a neck specific pickup in the Gibson RI chrome pickups (where those online, including mine - are both marked as Lead pickups). I feel, for my own thought, i'm fine having two of the same output pickups in this bass considering they are replacing a very much mismatched Epiphone Deep Sixx pickup set (~13K neck, ~17 bridge), & mine will be constant on or off via single switch. & Someone can correct me if i am way out of line, but weren't the original runs of Tbird VIs have pickups of similar output (meaning very very close to one another by a few decimal points in KOhms)?
