Thunderbird Club

I never heard of rotating speakers. I also didn't know the voice coils could spin, even glacially. This place is full of unexpected educational content.

They hasnt coincided with leap year as of yet x)

To explain better, ive been told by a local amp tech, those particular speakers if left in the same orientation too long (im sure over decades), the voice coil would tend to shift downwards (gravity pull), & cause it to be misaligned to where it should be (causing speaker seize & needed reconing). Luckily the parts are still available for those kinds of speakers, so easy enough fix.

I don't care for the badass style wrap around, but a lightning bar style would be my pick.

BUT if the choice is just those two, I'd do the tuna-matic

As long as the tuna's spicy ill indulge

Dammit, you're giving me the itch for a road trip............Someplace warm and dry (i.e. Hollister) really sounds good just now......

Meantime, it's old, ugly and slow, just like it's owner :woot:

Ford/Chevy……Apple/Samsung….blah blah….
Ford/Chevy is more Precision/Jazz, while a Thunderbird is AMX. The reactions I have had so far have all been surprised and positive. One audience person said "That just looks like rock and roll." So far, nobody has had any negative comments.

If you call 36 degrees and foggy warm and dry...

High of 64 in Hollister, if you're from Seattle that's beach weather.

Cars used to be so beautiful.

Too early to drop a hint?
Lots to do here, Food, Museums, Beer, some great music stores including Emerald City Guitars, Mike and Mike's Guitar Bar, The bass shop and Veronica's basement.........
i could have our guitarist and drummer show up for a jam as well.
