Addendum: Bruce(one of our guitarists)suggested a song he wanted to do-"China Grove". I listened to it on YT and figured out the bass line, first in E(their key), then in D(we're getting older-gotta lower some of the keys). We played it that night after a very quick 'talkover' and now it's part of our song list(cos I can't spell repertoire*).

Sunday afternoon (4pm) at an SF venue called Thee Parkside. Brought my '76 Ampeg B15 cab & Ashdown 550 Spyder - it sounded really good today! Second band (Surf Monster) provided the nice vintage RI Gretsch drum-kit for all three bands. We had a relatively small crowd on a drizzly Sunday afternoon. The joint is kind-of a dump, we decided playing there wasn't worth the trouble. Oh well...

What's in the B-15 cab? The speakers were normally designed for 25-30 watts.
I left him off because he hasn't spent much time here, and none of his formative years.When I was in middle/high schools, my uncle had a Pinto similar to that. Dual Holleys on a tunnel ram instead of the blower, and gray instead of red - it had been a drag car (tube frame bits, aluminum floor/trunk/engine bay, etc) converted to drive on the street

Likewise Flea as he has spent most of his time in the US, and RHCP is a very LA band.
Maurice and the Gibbs spent their childhood here and the Bee Gee's formed and started their recording career here.
I threw Anthony Field in as a wildcard. But The Wiggles have had some serious cashflow over a long period of time. Plus there are photo's of him using a Epi Thunderbird (and a Maton JB4).
Athol Guy because The Seekers were seriously successful in their time. They kept The Beatles and Stones out the UK no 1 singles spot at times. Georgy Girl was even a hit in the US (No 1 Cashbox No 2 Billboard).
Plus their return concert at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl drew a then record crowd reportedly of 200k. As @JIO suggested he has had a successful post music career.
Tal is great and I follow her on Instagram.
No real answer to the question. Surprisingly good field of entrants though.

It had an Eminence but about 4 years ago I installed a late '60s JBL D45R - regardless what it is rated for - it sounded marvelous today. As a comparison, Surf Monster's bass player plays a nice Sadowski ($$$) 4-string through a high-end ($$$) Genzler set-up (ss head & multi-mini speaker/2x10?configuration). The last band played through it also. I have to say, my 'old school' rig sounds infinitely better - more organic, more musical. Maybe pushing the speaker more than it's 'rated for'. FTR - I never push it too hard, so as long as I keep that under control (my volume & gain) I'm not going to worry about blowing the speaker. In general, the Genzler boutique rig sounded 'big' and present - but it had no character.

I will say that when I had mine, I really liked the understated, classy Tuxedo look of the all black.
As you can see, I have a lotta [stuff] to load inandout for a gig. I hate to hafta use a music stand, but my ability to memorise lyrics ain't what it useta be. What's kinda weird is there are a few songs we do every gig that I still need the word sheet and yet I remember all the verses to "Mack The Knife" which we do about once every 6 weeks.Because the JBL EON ONE doesn't feed back and has 180 degree dispersion, I have it-and the mixer on its table-next to me, on my right, between me and the drums. No need for monitors as we hear exactly what the audience hears.

If necessary, I can hammer with my left hand and make minor adjustments with my right while playing.
When I was working 6 nights a week, I didn't need the words to look at but now, working maybe 4-5 nights a month-and being a whole bunch older-I don't have the recall I once had. Oh well, doo-doo transpires.
