That pickguard looks like a cheese (or Finger) shredder! Yikes!

It's sharp...literally and figuratively

Recycled saw blade.
Mine is nice and smooth.

I like that Black Hipshot! Looks sweet on that Bass.
Is that a metal pickguard? Not knocking...it really looks great.
I would be clumsy enough to shave my finger tip off if that has sharp, open edges.
I still have a few love scars from aggressive playing around the bass bridge!
Nice looking Bird!

He will be wearing tights and a speedo in that superhero costume. And boots. Really tall boots.

I've worn costumes along that line to go halloweening.

Note: Halloweening is not trick or treating. It was something we did in my acid says, dressing up and just running around tripping and acting weird.

Jackie Fox is one of those absurdly smart people who is fantastic at everything. She speaks a bunch of languages and has a JD from Harvard Law School. She was going to be a mathematician before she became a bass player, at the ripe old age of 16 or so. I'm just happy to be the same species as people like her.
(Sam Wilson impersonation): "I do what she does, only slower."

Sounds like an interesting journey! I tried Software Engineering but I needed more hands on and enjoyed the design work. I’m not a great bassist but can hold my own in many genres. I grew up on 60’s music so that is still my main foundation.

I don't play my fretless 'Bird much, but it sure is fun when it happens. It's the next refinishing project when I can scrape up the money. It will be 1969 Chevrolet Rallye Green metallic. That should be reasonably memorable looking with black hardware. Chrome would be better, but it's a Pro IV and I'm not sure where a chrome bridge like that would come from. Or what else would fit.

There's a Hipshot that looks great in its place, though the screw pattern is completely different. Plug the old holes, drill new ones, and away you go!

Hoping to get a fatter bottom end and dial in some growl with the bridge.
You know make a cheap Bass sound like an expensive one!

Then the Gibson modern pickup might work in the neck. You could pair that with a Gibson modern pickup at the bridge.

Or just find a pair of Greco pickups.

So, is Fuchs pronounced Fox in the US? We use a different pronunciation here.

Does she have an autobiography? It seems she has led quite a life, lots of achievements after The Runaways.
