Thunderbird Club

A nice Stingray is a welcome addition to a diverse arsenal. I prefer the tone from a single H. They are the pride of SLO. I want a nice one, just haven’t found one yet. I am confident that with the Mesa TT800, the Mesa M6 Carbine, and rhecSVT, I can find the tone that work. Npmayby this or next year.

Wait. Npmayby? Is that another brand of Stingray? Do they make Thunderbirds? And a rhecSVT. Hmmm...

I saw them with Gillan round that time (early 80’s)……Tony was looking pretty haggard….

I saw that tour, Ratt was the opener(or support?). I recall it was a good show, but my recall from that long ago is unreliable.

I love the first six Sabbath albums and the Dio ones as well. Of the first six, Paranoid would be my least favorite, but I’d guess that’s because most of the songs were/are overplayed, I’ve just heard them so much…

Pilot training is a rough road.
Lots of hours for each certification.
Not to mention the time involved to be where she wants to be.
I guess the upside is working for an airline.
It’ll take away from any family life she’s got.
But if she’s truly dedicated to be a pilot……..

If I were wanting to fly, I'd find a connection to become some rich persons private jet pilot, or a corporation's private jet pilot. An airline pilot is a flying bus-driver...

They get paid well as a rule, get good benefits, will not be worked to death, have a union, etc.
Also, I've met a lot of great bus drivers - but most of them are underpaid and dealing with a completely different set of circumstances.
Very different worlds.

Agreed on the first 6.
Apparently the Eagles had to re-record a bunch of Hotel California because there was too much bleed on the tracks from Sabbath playing really loud next door working on Technical Ecstasy:eek:

Yep - my dad would have loved to keep flying after coming home from WWII but he wanted to raise a family more. Hard to do if you're a full-time airline pilot.

Ok. I’m

Julianna knows a lot of people. She may go that route for awhile. But a major airline gig, with union protection, is her ultimate goal.

At one point I owned an original MM Stingray, it was probably around '80 or so, I've kind of forgotten. It played so beautifully, I just never could get it to sound good through my rig at the time.

One bass I've never even played. They were thee bass of the late '70s/'80s. I imagine the two pu '83 Cutlass II with a carbon-fiber neck might be cool.
