Thunderbird Club

Here is a modified diagram showing how to connect a switch to take the bridge pickup out of the circuit. I'm going hang a toggle switch out of the control cavity of my Orville for testing and if it's worth doing permanently, I'll install a push pull pot.

Modification: make you switch double throw. Position one connects live lead to the system, position two shunts the signal to ground. That will prevent clicking when remaking the switch.

Horseshoe?

That reminds me. We were in Chucks garage during the GTG last summer and someone asked me why I picked Engle as a handle. The first part of my answer was that I had just bought an Englehardt upright when i joined Talkbass. Then the conversation veered off about upright basses and I never got to the second part about running Engle cams in my air-cooled VWs.

Funny, because Engle cams were the first thing that came to mind!

I understand it’s all relative and has to do with where/how far away you’re standing, wind, etc but the only plane I saw flying that seemed louder than the 105 was one of these……

I’ve had F15s and F16s go vertical about 100 feet over my head- loud and hot. But a C5 makes them sound like toy planes at that distance. Painful. And that was not from behind (I don’t want to be anywhere near a C5 trying to go vertical).

I was driving down a 4 lane Highway a few Summers ago and the sky was bright blue...not a cloud in the sky. All of a sudden, brake lights everywhere and my favorite Jet aircraft flew over low enough to see detailed features of the Stealth Bomber. That thing is breath taking to see it flying. Almost caused a wreck!
I found out later there was an air show in the area.

They’re on Spotify too.

I went through DistroKid - they take care of any copyright issues (since we cover copyrighted songs) and distribute to most all streaming platforms. (all the major ones plus ones I'd never heard of)

I need to play it through Spotify a few times so the songs will start appearing automatically in my mix. Spotify is how I have to listen in the car now. The new Subie I got doesn’t have a CD player. “Progress.”

I live approximately 6 miles from Hill AFB where the F-35s are stationed, that is bar none, the loudest jet I've ever heard in the air. OMG, they are so loud, even when you can't see them, they are ear shattering loud!
