I wanted a day on the couch with some Single Malt, my kitty and a blankie. Instead I got freeze my fun bits for 12 minutes waiting for the train.........

Took an hour to clear customs as only 5 agents working. Good new is all our luggage was waiting and so was Uber.

The FB is too light for my taste. I’d have to try one to see what the neck feels like. I generally don’t mind a wider neck. Both of my NR's have 1.6 nuts. The ‘13 feels slightly chunkier than the ‘21. And while they aren’t quite as nice as the ‘15 reverse’s neck, I find them comfortable. Including the Babicz and a case are nice bonuses, although at a price.

They are $1300 at Sweetwater right now. Hard pass for that price.

$550 more than a new VP. The gold hardware and brass nut is $450-$500 of that, plus a case for another $130. If you want those things, it's as good a price as buying a new VP would be. If you don't care, then obvs not.

Played a couple of the new TBird 60s at my GC. The Ebony was nice, but the whole G string was deadened which was wierd. The Tobacco Burst played and sounded really nice.

That might tip the scales into the Classic for me personally. I believe the Classic has Gibson TB+ pickups is that correct? I know they won't be exactly alike, but I did own a Gibson Les Paul from around 2005 with TB+ pickups and loved the way they sounded. So I think I'd prefer the TB+ to the more vintage sound personally.

Guiitar Center just listed the Epiphone Thunderbird E-1 that comes with TB+ pickups as available for backorder ($449.00).

It’s an $800 bass with an upgraded bridge +$100. An Epi case +$100. It should retail for $999.99. They would sell really well at that price. So yeah, it’s $300 more than it should be.
