I wouldn’t fit in since I’m a RL Polo guy for work. I only wear plaid on weekends.

I originally posted this on the Les Paul Jr DC Bass thread, but I am hoping a T-Bird owner can help me with pick-up questions. Long story short, I want to know what a T-Bird pup would sound like in the "mudbucker" position, vs the sound of a Mudbucker, since the LP Jr has a single T-Bird pup in the sweet spot, and it may make more sense to have a matching set. Here's the original post:

"I love & miss the lows from the EB-0, so I am considering having either a Mudbucker in the typical EB-0 location or maybe instead the matching Thunderbird neck pup in the same location. I lean towards the Mudbucker, so I would have those vintage tones, but maybe the T-Bird neck pup would make a better match.
Can anyone even guess the differences in tone? I know what the OEM mudbucker sounds like, as well as a Dimarzio Model 1. But I have no experience at all with a T-Bird (still on the wish list) so I don't know if the lows will be as fat. I assume either would add serious lows that I will dial in with a 2nd Volume knob. I also plan to have a Stellartone Tonestyler replacing the stock tone.
I still need to check with my guitar tech/luthier to see if a route there at the end of the fingerboard is even feasible; that neck tenon joint looks a little scary, to be honest.
My last mods will be to try out different replacement pickups for the original pickup, but for the time being, I'm pretty happy with it. I would look for the most P-Bass-sounding one though, as I am a Fender Precision guy looking for a smaller bass to play and do fly dates with. I wasn't as thrilled with the Fender Mustang; it seemed more tubby than the LPDC Jr, which is really punchy in comparison.

That being said, I love this little sucker, and plan on using it a lot for a long time.

I’m in catchup mode today. But I have a thought. I want to look at other replies first though. And your responses. My first impression though is that you want a more traditional Thunderbird pickup tone.

Dusty Hill at one point used a touch of chorus. Just left it on as I recall.

When I was in a Goth band I used light chorus all the time. It actually worked well with our music.

Oooh, another thought just hit me. A stretch limo hearse based on a Hurst Hairy Olds. TWO big, honkin, supercharged V8s, one front and one back. Side load only. Seats are removable, letting it be a hearse or limo by day as needed, and a gigmobile by night. Not exactly eco-friendly and needs some tweaking vs original specs, but the coolest ever.

I think it's the basic limits of current batteries not loving cold or hot. The mitigation is knowing this common fact and not buying one. A number of states had that issue.

Funny story. Piano tuner was telling me of guy who had an EV and wasn't charging at his home. Came out and found a lady charging her car. He asked what she thought she was doing. She said she was just charging her car up. He pointed out that it was his house not a charging station. She was shocked that he wasn't thrilled with her charging and getting the free invisible magic that makes her car go. She then confessed that she was visiting next door and with the cold when she went to leave she didn't have enough of the invisible magic to even get her to the next charging place.

I’ve never been able to gauge Wilco fandom here. Except I know you’re huge on Nels. He’s my favorite guitarist. And Wilco is one of my favorite bands! Regrettably, I’ve only seen them three times. But Wilco is, along with the Silversun Pickups, the Zac Brown Band, and the Avett Brothers, one of the best shows you’re likely to see these days. Stirratt is one of my favorite bassists. Heck. I even his signature guitar strap.

Only saw them one - one of the best live shows I've ever seen/heard. Superb players all, and as a band the tightest ensemble making live music today. Can't say enough about how good their presentation/performance was. I don't go to big shows these days mostly because of the cost.

Last amazing show Beth & I saw/heard was exactly this one - I love Radiohead but their admission price is more than I choose to pay, but this was the next best thing. Thom played some very cool vintage basses that night. Johhny stuck to a stripped Fender P when he played bass.

Better not! Those things are very protected. Do that and the fine would be more than the cost of the condo, plus free accommodations at the "Graybar Hotel", extended stay.

This...is a Phaser. Thanks to the good Mr. P, I still get to enjoy it after all these years. I used the other one from home for a practice and one use and put the MXR back. The other one will stay at home.
