That's my Manhattan in the foreground :woot:

"The Bronx and Staten Island too".

We have to get you out of the house a little more often. :)
It comes from having played in bands 40 years ago that played for people my age now. I wish I had pics. Me in a tux(not rented)playing the 67NR-or the 66 EB-3 and making good if not dang good money for it. Plus my Dad played in a big band and I grew up listening to "standards".

Oh. I'm subbing on a big band gig on 1/30. Luckily, I don't gots to wear the tux. Dunno if it'll still fit.

FOOTNOTE: I think it shrunk. Yeah, that's it. Shrunk.

I’ve tried a horde of different strings on my 2015 bird with the DiCola pickups. La Bella black tapes are what I’ve settled on for the 2015. But keep in mind I’m typically after a warm bottom end and warm top end. @Gaolee and @MCF may have a different take.
I am a fan of tapes on my 2015.

The first time I communicated with a Thunderbird bassist online was about 20 years ago on the Latitudes and Attitudes sailor’s forum since I was living aboard a sailboat at the time (and still do). This guy was also a sailor who played in a band in the late 60’s/early 70’s.

Don’t remember your name, but are you lurking on this site, or does anyone know someone like that?
I know houseboat people but no boat bass players, let alone Thunderbird players.

I love Manhattan’s at 10:00 AM!

You know, it's after 12:00 somewhere!
This was actually in the evening, I'm not quite that hardcore......yet.

I really hope y’all have a gig around gtg time.

I hadn't thought about it.....But, we're getting back at rehearsal next week so I'll bring it up, there are a couple local places we could do a show at.
