Happy Birthday!Happy Birthday Marshall!!!
No.So I got busted today. And had a post removed. There is a guy selling a hard to find twenty year old Agi 200 watt all tube amp in the classifieds. I’m interested.
But the guy wants close to 2K for it. As some amp ads frequently state, it was recently gone through and had all the caps replaced without explaining why. So I responded by simply asking why the caps were replaced. The seller’s response was that it is “common” maintenance for a twenty year old amp. Nothing else was said. So I responded with a link, no comment or other text, just the link, with a recent Andy Fields (Agedhorse) thread re cap life and how ridiculous it is to replace caps for no reason. My post was removed. I guess I understand and I probably should not have done that. But my intention was to give potential buyers pause to ask questions before buying.
But. The seller let someone, identify not disclosed, go into the guts of a valuable amp and do who knows what that could cause potential problems. And there were no issues that the seller disclosed that led to replacement. Was I wrong?
Plus he’ll have to lose several inches and pounds. If you're going to be naked Jeff, maybe a closed lid might be worth considering for the service. But hey, it would be memorable.![]()

I’m at least 200 pounds and 5 feet bigger than when I entered the world.Who?, Me?
I'm skinny as heck, and don't weigh much.
I'm being cremated anyway.

CongratsOn a personal note the last 12 days have included my 64th birthday, our 45th anniversary, and testing positive for the ‘VID after a night of fever and coughing. Still alive but fever goes in and out and joints hurt. And it’s not just old age.
Belated happy birthday! And that looks great!!Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. That was very kind of you all to help me make it to 65.
I finished all of the clear coat on the blue VP.
Now she has to gas off and harden until somewhere around the first week of April. After that I’ll start the wet sand and polish part of the show.
Anything that looks rough is just reflection. There's no orange peel in the finish.
Lots of work but it will be worth it in the end. I pick out the project and Mrs. Gator chooses the color.
In our marriage, I'm the Boss..and I have her permission to say so.
Cheers to all!View attachment 5345884
While it had a long heyday, like most philosophies was somewhat time-bound as a worldview if not a coping mechanism. Not much the rage these days, though. Academia, especially philosophy departments, have found other shiny objects, as they always do.
Congratulations...on two of the three. I had it in late Oct and my wife a couple weeks ago. Fortunately her's was more mild than mine (bad cold that lingered). Like you, I had the fever for several days, weird headache, and legs killing me one day. Way more flu-like than cold-like and took a month to feel normal. I think I had an earlier strain and hope that's not true for you. Make sure you take care of yourself and rest a lot. It's not being lazy, your body is working hard to fight it. Drink a lot as well. It's necessary but won't make you feel better. Well, depends on what you drink I suppose. On a personal note the last 12 days have included my 64th birthday, our 45th anniversary, and testing positive for the ‘VID after a night of fever and coughing. Wow! So envious, but in a good way. I got to catch them sometime.I saw Govt Mule last night at the Vogue Theatre. Kevin Scott was incredibly solid playing 16 notes (Rocco level) and crazy runs! Mostly a Ripper in the first set and he brought out a Tbird shaped bass in set 2.

Anyone a fan of the Bartolinis?Vintage 1990s Gibson Thunderbird USA Kelly Green 4-String Bass Guitar Bartolini | eBay
Interesting color.
Check his other items, a couple of ‘76’s and a Greco in there
This is a good start from 1995. Allen Woody on the bass:That's another band I haven't looked in to, I do believe I'm maybe caught up to about 1992, so I should be there soon...
Reminds me of The Crowded House song…Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with youWherever you go - that's where you are.
