Hadean Situation. What’s an ‘HS’ pray tell?
And in this case I’m too tired and intoxicated too hazard an online guess-
Nice! Looks like what a friend in HS used to play. He called and "F horn" (sp?). Said it was kind of the same as a french but shaped like a baritone (which I played for a short while).
In small towns, numbers started at 1 or 10 or 100 (for larger small towns, or those looking ahead). This is OT.
Some of you(99%?) are from the US. One thing that has confused / amazed me over the many years are the house numbers we see on TV shows and movies. How long are your streets?!?!
Here, in Sydney anyway, every individual street is numbered. Odd numbers on one side starting from 1, even numbers on the other starting from 2. Sometimes, the numbers will restart if the road goes into the next suburb. So it is rare for numbers to be in the thousands (it can happen on Highways).
It seems that on TV every characters house number is 4 digits long. In a movie last night a shop address was 10 thousand and something!
Our format is house/lot number with the street name and type; then suburb state and post code. eg
25 George Street
Ashbury NSW 2193. (Postcodes start with a number that indicates the State. 2=NSW, 3=Vic etc; except for some special ones).
So I expect you use a different numbering scheme???
In light of that, is it not ironic that my personal favorite meter is a Fluke?
I’m a perfersionul abuser of Fluke meters
Look at this one that they were asking $1999 CAD for.
I just turned 57 and haven't grown up yet. I'm not immature, I'm an aging stout! I've certainly got the full body part going on...3 weeks-ish for first tasting. Darker beers mature more slowly, so likely at it's best in about 5-6 weeks.
Ew. TortLook at this one that they were asking $1999 CAD for.

Oh, yeah. Likely so.Flugelhorn- Chuck Mangione’s axe of choice-
Yeah. At age 78, I'm not playing those games. Sorry(not really).Sound person, which normally would be a 'correct' way of addressing the person operating the stage sound is not acceptable in this case. Welcome to SF in 2024.
I actually saw Mangione once at the Universal Amphitheater before they put the roof on. It was a nice night of mellow tunes. But the prime rib dinner we ate at Victoria Station before the show was more memorable.Oh, yeah. Likely so.
Or Head Stock(detachable in Thunderbird's case).
High school
Interesting story on numbering. In small towns, numbers started at 1 or 10 or 100 (for larger small towns, or those looking ahead).
Numbers are assigned by the Post Office, and they plan for larger cities/subdivisions/etc. They typically start at 1000 if they aren’t growing off an established smaller number, and at each (non-trivial) intersection they tend to jump top the next 100, so one “block” might be 1000 to 1020 or 1087, and across the street the numbers start at 1100.
If you start building farther out with a gap in between, there’s some formula based on expected zoning and lot size, although new subdivisions may get their own oddball sets of numbers. Parallel roads or highways in the same jurisdiction typically have similar number ranges at correlating spots. This means some streets might start at 5100 or whatever.
When we lived in the boonies, we didn’t have a street address, we had a rural route number. Our address was RR 1 Box 558, Leander, TX 78641-9413. Later we got a street address, and bizarrely, a new zip code: 11501 Johnson Rd, Leander, TX 78641-5843. Note the 5 digit street address; that’s because we were so far out from the city of Leander (more of a town back then). When you live outside a city, your postal address city is whichever post office got assigned to serve you.
Finally, I will note that one of the major delivery services (UPS? It’s been a while) doesn’t (or didn’t) want to deliver to anything but a street address. Packages could be a hassle. On the plus side, if you could get it delivered, nobody was likely to steal it off your porch (many houses, you couldn’t even see the porch from the road). Even a rare THUNDERBIRD like V’s or Donny’s would have likely been safe on a porch (not that I’d have chanced it).
I played French Horn in High School Orchestra and the ladies really liked it!Flugelhorn- Chuck Mangione’s axe of choice-
My house number is 1321. I'm the farthest toward the dead end of the street-on the north side. The house across from me is farther toward the end than mine. It's 1320.In town the numbers have some logic, but not worth mentioning
On the county road it’s different
12465 east cty rd 50 means you’re 12.465 miles from the number change line, usually where the tax rate goes to unincorporated

See you’re on the north side, so you are very odd! Or something! My house number is 1321. I'm the farthest toward the dead end of the street-on the north side. The house across from me is farther toward the end than mine. It's 1320.![]()
