I think you have mistaken this thread for one that has ppl that are sensible about spending money, especially vicariously spending others’ money.

and since there is no way I’d buy it, I’d say if you love that ugly thang, do it. Even homely basses need love.
We think a lot alike. Should I be concerned? I know you should be.

Due to a change in QC and change in origin of production perhaps?

The reason I ask is that a friend of mine, an electrical engineer with patents to his name, never had a complaint, apart from that high price they wanted for replacement battery connectors that had been damaged by alkaline battery leakage. In his case, the particular unit was logic circuit capable in addition to testing for capacitance and other measurements beyond your typical volts, current, and ohms-

My first contact was in the military myself.
Their electrical meters are solid, but some of the modules for the DTX (Category cables and fiber) were really cheaply made and very expensive. And their one year calibration cycle was (and still is) a cash grab IMO.

Got it covered. I have the Aria version of this, great little bass!

My criteria thus far, for any electric bass north of four grand is neck thru design, five strings and having an unlined Fretless fingerboard-

With that said, I can’t say I would never deviate from that and certainly wouldn’t judge others who have-
My criteria for any musical instrument in that price range: somebody else's.

yes, but notice is asks you to “borrow” someone’s (italian national) health insurance card to operate the machine if you’re foreigner and don’t have one…
so you can ask a policeman, a nun or whoever happens to be walking by….….only in Italy….:D

Mmmmm, I need to plan a trip….
