and don’t forget the schematic pasted to the bottom of the top panel….not a big deal in the days of the internet but very forward thinking back in the day….assumes the amp can be serviced by any tech anywhere, anytime….was never a fan of Pete’s topologies/tone but you can’t knock these amps in any way…

Lots of old radios, tape recorders, etc. came with schematics; with AM radios, especially, they were often on the cab. Kalamazoo guitar and bass amps had that feature as well. I appreciate what we have today but also miss that aspect of those days.
 
The red is much nicer in person than what I had seen in pictures, it's deeper and darker, I quite like it. Still a very good Bird at a reasonable price, congratulations on yours!

The GC near me is not completely stocked, but it’s far closer than it’s been since the pandemic hit. Less than 10% as many basses, and zero Gibson or Epi basses, AFAICT. I discussed the new 64 TBs with the salesdude. Will it make a difference? No idea. Worth a shot.

The one thing I have to give credit to guitar center for is that they do good job of keeping their inventory updated online.
