Funny story: My wife ordered the cake and have her the baby's name. The baby's name is CHARLOTTE. My wife told the baker Charolotte. So the little one already has the nickname of "Baby Charo" from me.

Yeah, she does some awesome stuff for sure. She's made basically every special even cake for us since ~2017.

And that is after I filled and smoothed it with several rounds of poly. I thought it felt pretty good at that point, even if it wasn't ideal looking.

That reminds of a piece of advice I got from my Dad: Never date a woman with big hands-they make 'things' look smaller.

I have a several songs to learn by Friday. Thursday is rehearsal for Sunday, so that’s out. We won’t play together as a band until Friday, and I’ve never played with any of them. This one song is driving me nuts; all we have for the set are chord charts and recordings of the leader singing and playing acoustic (on the plus side, Brandon sounds great and so do the recordings). I have several parts I can live with, but it wants something more. It feels like it needs a John McVie bass part. Now I’m no JM, but so far if I even begin to approach a JM feel on this song, it goes to crap.
Oh well. At least I’ll be playing a Thunderbird, so it will look and sound good!
