Thunderbird Club

And now for something completely different.

Using up a Rick-style body and a Harmony neck I had lying around, I'm putting the finishing touches on my electric Tres Cubano.

I didn’t realize new Lulls were that much now. If he’ll even do a new one. I configured one on the World-Peace (a reason in and of itself to consider getting one) website awhile back to be what I would want and it came to around $3200. I don’t recall if that included shipping to here and import duties. Either way, too rich for my blood at this point in time. But they do look really nice. Certainly something to consider for a Thunderbird made exactly how one wants it.

ATC that's what it cost (or more depending) to create a one-off. Look around and tell what is a 'bargan' these days, for anything.

I just looked those up. They make a bass that's essentially a D-Bird. Hmmmm... And the one on their website is orange, like Veronica's sublime Lull. More Hmmmm....

I'm lucky to have made myself some pretty awesome basses so I have no "gas" for any (new) brand out there. I do appreciate all of them though - just nice not to have any of them haunt me to buy them.

For the finger players here, do you tend to lead with your index or middle finger? I always lead with my middle. My bass teacher insisted that New Yorkers tend to do that (take a guess why) but most others lead with their index. Maybe he was kidding, but I'm curious.
Middle here since 1970. San Diego and then Central Coast.
