They look like a cool tribute. Sax and all.Bond Girl shared the stage today at the Golden Gate Bandshell with The Jean Genies - a Bowie tribute band. We both did 2,45min sets under clear sunny, partially cloudy skies after back & forth sun/rain all week. They went on at noon (to 1:45) and we started about 2:15. A healthy enthusiastic crowd (hey - it was fee and outside) The lead singer Geoff of TJG was a real showman walking into the audience and getting lots of social-media attention. 2nd set was Ziggy Stardust songs complete with striped costume & red wig. Who doesn't love Bowie?

~Oops... my amp & bass at the back of the space - they said it was alright to stage it there...

Totally pro FOH - wireless mics for all - their saxman also took advantage of moving around off the stage... they had it down. I didn't get pics of the Ziggy set as we were sequestered in the green-room behind the stage.

Shot during their 1st song - more people showed up as the day evolved, the benches were filled later. Lots of pic's & vids - so I'll have some more to post when they filter in.

Last time PA/sound guys were provided was at an outdoor thing(car show)in 2015. Still had to bring amps/drums.In my cover band, we usually bring everything and get paid.
Assuming I get my heavy originals band going, I expect the gigs to be 1 set at places with FOH, possibly backline and little/no money.
I’ve thought about a clear guard for mine to show more of the blue. They are great Thunderbirds. Someone here really should pick up that one off the Bay.thank you!![]()
sounds pretty unique setup like that..,
Keep an eye out for that glass dome that covers the moon...We’ve got a total Eclipse of the Sun tomorrow afternoon so people are calling off work and Eclipse watch parties
are everywhere!

Yes we bought glasses. My wife made sure hers are stylish!Just hope people are aware of the damage it can do to their eyes.
We've been known to say "for 4 guys, we sound a lot like a quartet".(usually goes over their heads)We all told Cherie to discount such as BS from some pathetic A-hole. There are people in the world who just do sh-t like that for their own amusement. Life's too short to dwell on it. Cherie's a rock-star and has spent her whole life honing her craft. Water on a ducks back.
The other band commented that we make a lot of sound/music for a quartet.

it's not like I don't know the songs backwards & forward - it's usually a brief lapse of attention being caught up in the moment.
Looks exciting!Remember that pretty Southwest Airlines engine during sunset pic that I posted a few dozen pages back…
